Thought you'd like to read something a bit more mellow by GA? Here it is! A lonely, tender write... with a napalm chaser, of course. (winks)
Keepin’ up with the fact’ry bustle and the
Side hustle is runnin’ me ragged.
I barely have a moment to unwind.
A wound’s bleeding in my soul and a good
Meal would make me whole.
But I push it all aside. I ain’t got the time.
My life is filled with deadlines.
I can’t resent them ‘cause they’re all mine.
I can’t stop until I reach the next plateau.
My mind’s feeding on my own frustration
About my education on the state of our nation.
But all I really want is to take it slow.
And all I see is Red… And all I see is Red…
And all I see is Red… And all I see is Red…
My heart’s been broken and the keys all stolen
But I always keep a spare right here.
‘nd my heart still burns like a Solar Flare.
You can’t keep a strong man down.
It’s just something I have found.
And I’ve looked for signs of scars, but they’re not there.
I agree with God, I won’t be right
'Til I’m spending all my nights
As a human heater for the warmth-impaired.
Sure, it’s a seasonal job
Push me away if you get hot.
I’ll wake to see you glow like the sun runnin’ through your hair.
And all I see is Red… And all I see is Red…
And all I see is Red… And all I see is Red…
My passion, it defines me
Whatever the occasion be.
Just know that I am giving it my all.
I’ll fight ‘till I’m on the floor.
Love like I’ve never been hurt before.
I just need someone to catch me should I fall.
I don’t like to ask for help.
I can’t do this all myself
But I’m just that brave and dumb to want to try.
I’ve got my bow in hand and
A straight shot, just understand
How helpful we could be at each other’s side.
And all I see is Red… And all I see is Red…
And all I see is Red… And all I see is Red…
It’s like infra-Red... It’s like infra-Red…
It’s like infra-Red... It’s like infra-RED!
IT’S LIKE INFRA-RED! IT’S LIKE INFRA-RED!
IT’S LIKE INFRA-RED! IT’S LIKE INFRA-REEEEED!
