One day not to long ago, the Lord appeared to you.
He greeted you with an enormous smile and
said, "Daughter, I have a gift for you."
He then handed you a small seed.
It was almost too small to see.
He gave you these directions,
"Child, plant this seed in the heart I will show you
and you will receive a blessing beyond
anything you can imagine."
Each day, hearts were presented before you.
Yet, you knew you had not found the heart the Lord had chosen.
You felt somewhat like Samuel before Jesse's sons with the
anointing oil, waiting to find the Lord's chosen to be the next King.
Then the one who seemed the most unlikely candidate for your seed, sat before you.
The Lord prompted you; it is this child that I want you to plant the seed within.
At first, you wanted to argue.
But, you obeyed. A few years went by.
Now, I sit here so grateful.
I have a peace within my heart that has been so long needed.
I feel like I can actually breathe for the first time.
You see, although Jesus gave you that seed. You watered it with your tears
You nurtured it with your loving prayers
The hope you give has become the sunshine that I bask in daily.
But the arms you hold me with are like His wings sheltering me.
And now... I am your rose given to you from your lover, Jesus.
