Just listen in the stillness and quiet,
When you’re all alone with me.
Open up the eyes of your heart,
And I think you’ll begin to see.
You’ll finally start to realize,
What my love and blessings are about,
You’ll wonder how on Earth,
You’ve gone so long, going without.
But for now I just want you to listen,
See if you can hear,
What I’m saying to your heart,
I’ll try to make it clear.
When you feel me in your heart,
All the noise will begin to fade.
You’ll know without a doubt,
Just what a price I paid.
I did it out of Love,
I did it for God’s Glory.
And you can do the same my child,
By believing in my story.
The more you let me in your heart,
The more blessings I can bestow.
The more you fill yourself with me,
The more I can let you know.
I want to fill you with the Holy Spirit,
Fill you with such desire,
I want you to feel like you can’t get enough,
I want you to feel that fire.
And that desire to get closer to me,
That desire to give me all your cares,
That desire to trust in me,
With all your troubles and prayers,
That my child, believe it or not,
Is just what I ask of you.
Giving it all to me,
Is exactly what I want you to do.
If you’ll just listen you can hear me,
Though it’s not just words I say,
It’s how I touch your heart,
That speaks the loudest, so I pray.
Just listen to your heart,
That’s where you’ll hear me most,
And I’ll also speak in many forms,
Of Father, Son and Holy Ghost.
But no matter where you are,
No matter where you’ve been
Ill take you just as you are,
I’ve already paid for those sins.
So all I ask right now,
Is for you to listen for my voice,
You’ll hear it every time you’re faced,
With a problem or a choice.
I’m that tug at your heart,
That little voice that says “Don’t do it”,
I’m that push that says,
“Enough is enough, it’s time you just get to it!”
I’m the voice that says “I’m proud of you,
Just look how far you’ve come”.
I’m the voice that tells you “Just keep trying,
Because my child, I’m not done”.
I have plans for you my friend,
Gifts and talents that I’ve given to you,
And to use them for God’s Glory,
Now, my child, that’s up to you.
And those times, there may be a few,
When you might face a bit of doubt,
Talk to me, and then just listen,
Because you know together,
We'll always figure it out.
