I quietly watch you from a distant place. You sit silently alone like a bud unwilling to bloom. There are many others in the field just like you. I desire to uproot you and plant you where I feel you would be happy. I know the longing and desire you have to become a beautiful flower. To do this you need a friend. I long to be that friend to you. I wish you could come to where I am. We could hold hands and skip through the vast expanse like the wind. Yet I know you cannot. Your roots are planted deeply in the rich soil of life. Your green leaves share the freshness of the grass at your feet. You drink freely from the water that flows beneath you, but your head hangs low. If you will let me I can open your petals. I can come down from my lofty place to touch and enhance your life. I want to do this for I am sunshine and that is my purpose for being.
