Jesus told a story about a man without a friend
Left to die on a mountainside, such a tragic end.
Battered and bruised he lay there.
Several men walked by.
No one offered to help him.
No one would even try.
That is not the end of the story.
Jesus saved the best for last.
A Samaritan chose to help the man as the sun’s last rays were cast.
The Samaritan, filled with compassion, did whatever he could.
He gave all he had to the stranger.
Jesus called the Samaritan, good.
The story must continue.
It should not have an end.
Everyone needs a Samaritan who is truly a very good friend.
