I remember when the world was better,
When it wasn't easy to flatter.
Years pass by with bittersweet memories,
Only fading into this superficial place,
Everything is judged by the base.
They may not know it when inside has turned inside out...
Subliminal messages too deeply interwined,
That realness is now not nothing to find.
The race is a foodchain, plus me and you,
Put down like animals without a clue.
How many left know right from wrong,
Who knows the difference in a song?
Label me strange, call me weird,
What about in years if these words become clear?
What if I know, if ahead of time,
Would I be congratulated if success was mine?
If all the sheep said something was sure,
How hard would it be finding a cure?
Stick together to extent, dont cross the limit,
Don't speak from the heart its not the world as we see it.
Don't be uncool, don't be a fool, isn't life easier in a nutshell?
What if boundries were crossed and sheep didn't have bells,
Would there be a voice to hear in the yells?
What if we were all identical, only difference being eyes,
Only inside as identity, would there be as many goodbyes?
Sex for pleasure, pain for nothing, love for what?
Truth, hope, faith, trust,
Is it all turning into dust?
As long as life is livable who cares enough?
I'm the same myself, a hypocrete me,
I'll finish this and want it easy, trouble-free.
Goodbye to everything worth anything,
Whatever I think I know,
Will stay somewhere in me,
Locked away, until the day...
Things need to change.
