the last time to see you, would be in our driveway
I'm trying to pick you up out of the snow,
but deaths grasp will not let you go.
the shock, the fear, a flood of tears,
God let him stay a few more years.
I'm at the hospital, in the waiting room
written on docs face, nothing but gloom
I do not want to talk to him, I know what he will say,
I cant save your Dad, God's taking him away.
Dad I love you but I cant come see you in the hospital room,
This shock, this pain is too much, too soon.
I said goodbye in the driveway today,
I just cant believe God's taking you away.
I love you Dad
