For the past three years the toes on my right foot have been making an illegal left turn, making it increasingly difficult to find proper-fitting shoes. Walking results in pain at times, and my feet are downright unsightly.
The crooked toes remind me that I left the 50-year mark three years ago. I wonder how much more misshapen they will grow. The maladjusted toes caused a maladjustment of attitude.
Time for a reality check. I enjoy good health. I have a faithful, attentive husband. Our children and grandchildren thrive. Work opportunities continue to come our way. My God is more than just “God” to me; He’s my Daddy and cares about me deeply.
I’ll die with ugly feet. So what?
