A pepped up version of “Lift Your Name Oh High” played and then the music faded. “Welcome back to The Tim Show, on 980 WJIE, Where Jesus is Lord. We have with us on the phone with us for a few minutes Richard Shelby who is an archaeologist with the Christian Historical Society.”
Tim took a break for a second, “How are you doing today Richard?”
“I am fine,” said Richard.
“I understand that you found an important scroll? asked Tim.”
There was an enthusiastic tone in Richard voice when he said, “Yes it was a scroll from the apostle Paul. I believe it to be one of a manuscript of a sermon he preached.”
“What country did he preach this in?” as Tim looked over his question list.
“I believe it to be Damascus, Syria. He was there in the early part of his missionary journey. This happened shortly after his conversion experience on the road to Damascus,” said Richard.
“Where did you find it?” questioned Tim.
“Yes, I found it in a cave, in the hills on the western edge of Syria,” said Richard.
'What makes you think it was Paul that wrote it?" asked Tim.
Richard paused for a second, "I am not totally sure at this time, but it corresponds to what he preached in the book of Acts. I will haft to test's to determine or not if they are real"
Tim looked at the clock he knew he could ask one more question, “What kind of tests will you run?"
"One of the tests is to see how old the paper is. How long it as been there? If the writing I the same from the original manuscripts from what Paul wrote in the book of acts," said Richard.
Tim Had 30 seconds left so he wrapped the interview up, "Well that is very interesting. We hope to have you on again when you authenticate scrolls. Thanks for being on the Tim Show."
"Thank you for having me," said Tim.
"We will have more of the Tim show after the news," said as Tim signed off.
