Have you ever considered how your thoughts affect the decisions you make each day? What if you could control the outcome of a situation just by controlling your thoughts? You might be surprised! Not only do your thoughts affect your physical and emotional well being – YOU have the ability to control the process!
“Behavior starts with a thought. Thoughts stimulate emotions which then result in attitude and finally produce behavior"____Dr. Caroline Leaf
Perception is the process of attaining awareness or understanding by interpreting sensory information. What we hear, see or feel begins a process of; consideration, evaluation, interpretation, leading to perception producing an emotional response and ultimately action. This process happens at lightning speed outside our conscious awareness. Carefully choose what you listen to or look at. Thoughts leave indelible footprints on your mind
Any one moment, your brain is creatively performing about 400 billion actions, of which you are only conscious of about 2,000. A statement taken from Dr. Caroline Leaf’s book “Who Switched Off My Brain.” Yet most of the time we take our thought process for granted as a natural body process and have no idea how it effects every aspect of our lives. It all begins with how a matter is perceived. A man becomes what he thinks.
The mind evaluates, the heart appropriates (makes something one’s own). Appropriation is the act of taking possession of, or assigning purpose to, properties or ideas. Thoughts become your reality.
“ Your emotions are literally cellular signals that translate information into a physical reality.” ____Dr. Caroline Leaf
“Guard the secret theater of your heart. See nothing there you do not want to see happen in reality” ___Roy H Williams
“Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.” Proverbs 4:23 (KJV)
“... for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh.” Matthew 12:34 (KJV)
“As a man thinks in his heart, so he is.” Proverbs 23:7
Everything you see, hear or feel becomes part of your thought life. The only gateway Satan has into your life is through your mind. Analyze your thoughts as to where they originated. It must enter the mind before it can enter the heart.
Guard your mind – guard your heart. Refuse the thought – prevent the action.
