Why is it so difficult to wait upon God? Its difficult because people don’t believe and trust in God. They don’t believe he is really coming to their rescue. Why couldn’t Saul wait on God? He had been given a promise.
Instead of waiting on God, we continue to seek aide from others. Maybe its because our eyes are upon those around us rather than God. Maybe its because we don’t know God. We know of Him but do we really know him.
Why is so easy for me to believe someone I never met is going to pay me a salary at the end of the week for work completed, but I don’t believe God and his promises?
Maybe all sins result from a failure to believe and trust God, to believe he will answer our prayers. Our failure to believe that God honors his word causes us, his children much pain.
A man writes a contract and we accept that contract without question. God makes a promise in his word but we refuse to believe that he will honor that promise. Faith is the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things unseen. Maybe it is because we don’t recognize the voice of God and His many callings. The word says “They that wait upon God shall renew their strength. They shall mount upon eagle’s wings. They shall run and not be weary. They shall walk and not faint. How many are willing to wait?
