This is just lovely. It has a beautiful spiritual message as well. I have always wanted to see New England, especially in autumn. But since I live in Arizona, I will have to make do with your lovely description. God bless you, Linda

Yvonne, this piece should help encourage all of us and also remind us of where we have been and where we are going. Also we need to stop, look and listen to the beauty and sounds around us while on our journey. Anita
You have a lot to say in this message about our journey, keep writing.
P.S welcome to the group. I see this is your first story! Hope to see more wonderful examples of your tallent!
I agree with Ms. Shaw about the double spacing. that was my first suggestion also when I joined. The discriptions were awesome. I could see the scenery in my mind. I didn't know how you got in a boat though. did you carry it through the long trail? The boat ride just came out of no where. I am going to share this with some of my friends having a tough time!
This is a beautiful illustration and an article that makes me want to pack up and head for the mountains.
I always find pieces a little bit easier to read when they're double-spaced between paragraphs, esp. on F.W. with the plain fonts, but that is just a small suggestion.
I love the descriptions of the view in your second to last paragraph. It made me feel like I was there....good job tying it in spiritually at the end as well.
