Scars: God’s Beauty Marks
I wish every Christian in the entire world had at least one easily visible scar, don’t you? A scar is often the earliest sign of healing in a wound. Since Christians are usually the spitting image of the walking wounded, it would be a welcome relief. It would be obvious to everyone around them that they were starting to heal. Instead wounded souls are hidden behind a fake smile. You’ve seen them walk around in church saying, “Bless God, I’m fine”, while they try to convince you that their divorce, drug problems, pending lawsuit, bankruptcy or whatever else are just peachy. Gosh, what a clever disguise. I'm sure it fools the devil.
However, in reality land, when a scar forms on a wound it seals out further infection and allows the wounded area underneath the skin time to recover. The body can work in unison to cleanse the infection and rebuild damaged tissue. Without a scar, an open sore continues to fester and allow contamination from without and waste products from within to poison the body. Open, weeping ulcers are a sign of a very serious infection. God’s body is very sick in this last hour and in need of much healing.
Forgiveness, repentance and confession are like clotting factors that can help seal off an injured soul from further abuse by the evil one. The trick is; before you can be healed, you have to actually admit to being injured. You must admit to truth. Truth itself is a powerful medicine. God’s word is truth. When applied liberally with a compress of confession, soaked in repentance; truth will cause the blood of the Lamb to circulate through your injuries and cleanse you.
Now, the world with its abhorrence of all things not physically beautiful rejects scars as defects, though they are actually the sign of a healing body or soul. Physical perfection is of little use to God. It’s so hard to impress God with your efforts. He thinks He’s God, and He really actually is! He is perfection. And a scar is a badge of courage. It speaks of a victory over an enemy, way cooler than a tattoo of a battleship or whatever.
Scars are symbolic of honor. Wounded warriors should be held in high esteem by every civic organization. They have paid a great price for your freedom. Likewise, the highest honor in heaven is reserved for those who were injured or killed in service of the Great King!
Lastly, scars are also a sign of love, as in the scars in the hands of our Savior. Won’t you receive His healing today?

That whole paragraph is GOLD, all the way up to the "blood of the lamb" reference at the end! I enjoyed this article thoroughly. (But, as I am seldom without suggestion) I want to urge you to work over the very beginning of this article, as well as the final close. Your questions are awesome-very direct and pointed. They are so powerful in fact, that they startle. You may want to incorporate a little more finesse in the lines that directly surround your questions, so that they are better recieved by your average reader.
