Romans 9:33
As it is written: “See, I lay in Zion a stone that causes men to stumble and a rock that makes them fall, and the one who trusts in him will never be put to shame.”
Psalm 34:4-5
I sought the Lord, and he answered me; he delivered me from all my fears. Those who look to him are radiant; their faces are never covered with shame.
Shame is renounced because I walk with Him. I have a living, breathing, fully functioning relationship with the King of Kings. I am His daughter and his beloved. Shame is banished because I trust in the Most High God, the I Am. I look to Him for protection, security, and guidance. Even when I fail and go my own way, I am forgiven because I choose to follow after Him. Shame has no foothold because I choose to live and breathe in the presence of my King. I am not one who stumbles because He is my Light and my Sword. He will keep me holy and pure, even when I am driven to repentance. The past can no longer harm me because I have been redeemed and sanctified. It cannot hold me captive because I no longer live in regret. I walk forward, never looking back but keeping my eyes trained on the unseen, which is my hope. My hope is the Lord, therefore, I am unashamed.
