Christian Living
In my walk with Jesus Christ I have encountered many different types of Christians. There are those who only worship God when it is convenient. Unfortunately they are the ones who truly miss out on the blessings of the Lord. It is those folks who do not understand what God has to offer them, they attend church one or two times a year, and rarely if ever dust off the Bibile and read its yellowed pages.
There are those who will immerse themselves in Christian actiivities not to serve for Gods glory but their personal edification. Its almost as if they feel the way to heaven is through works. It is written in James 4 "That works alone does not guarntee entrance into Heaven, that Faith without works is dead." The groups of people that i have just highlighted are what I like to call what are called "cup half full Christians" They do not comprehend the fact that to worship Jesus, requires a wholeharted devotion to Him.
Jesus is all loving all faithful God who loves us unconditionally, why is it then that we don't return the favor? Why do we serve him halfheartedly? That answer is one that some Christians fail to embrace they continue to live their lives the way they always have, some in sin, some in anger, some in war, some in unbelief. They do not choose the seeda of Salvation rather they follow a more uneven path. The Path that Jesus lays before us is the one to ultimate fellowship and unification, and as it written in the scriptures "No one can come to the Father except through me." Jesus words make it clear that there is no way to gain entrance into the kingdom except through me." Jesus also tells believers to "Take up their cross and follow Him." Simply put that means shedding your old skin amd replacing with the armor of Christ. It is hard to for many believers to be able to totally give their lives over To the Savior because they often find themselves succumbing to the ways of the flesh. There is a constant battle, a battle of the universe that will ultimately decide the fate of humanity. Do I want to be an unbeliever doomed forever in the bondage of Hell, or do I want to experience the magnificent glories of Heaven? I want to live my life in the warm embrace of my Heavenly father. I don't want to live my life as a "Half Empty" Christian. I try to live the walk of sacrifice, service, and surrender.
