The Almighty God designed nature in such a way that it is perennially regulated by times and seasons. In the absence of times and seasons, cataclysmic chaos and confusion would devastate the universe.
Ecclesiastes 3:11 reads in part, “…He has made everything beautiful in His time: also, He has set the world in their heart…” What this passage implies is that from the onset of creation, God appointed definite boundaries for everything so that they can be regulated by times and seasons, including the weathers.
Certain trees, plants and flora flourish best only during spring. Others do better in summer. There are also a number of other creatures, organisms and fauna that thrive mostly during winter or autumn. God has appointed times and seasons to each occupant of space to ensure that none oversteps their boundary, and to ensure all year round replenishments.
Similarly, for those of us who are the Covenant Children of God, He has also appointed times and seasons for the beautiful things of our lives to manifest. Our own main duty is to learn the godly arts of patience and self-control, in order to wait for God’s appointed times and seasons to come, or else, we may attempt to prematurely pre-empt divine events and consequently abort His programmes for our lives.
It is such a great source of comfort to know that God hasn’t forgotten anyone of us! He is simply following through with His programme for our lives, and we can be rest assured that His clock can never be late or fast. It simply keeps to perfect timing!
Our feeble tears cannot cause God to ‘hurry up’ or make Him to ‘rush up things’. Even our prayers would not necessarily get Him to respond promptly to us. In His loving benevolence, He may often choose to send us some momentary relief or succour, (which are merely little cushions of comfort that have been divinely placed along the rough pathways of our Christian experience), that we may erroneously mistake for the ultimate answers that we desire of Him.
However, not until the arrival of His appropriate timing, He certainly cannot be ‘persuaded’ to respond as we expect Him to. To illustrate this spiritual truth further, take a fruit for an instance. When fruits are allowed to stay and ripen on trees, they taste much better, far sweeter and well-packed with all their nourishing vitamins intact, unlike when they are plucked off unripe and artificially forced to ripen.
In the same way, when the appointed times and seasons arrive, everything about an individual would simply turn out attractively beautiful. In other words, when it is your turn for a turn-around, things will begin to turn around in your favour — without you having to struggle, hustle, manipulate, or arm-twist anyone in order to have it your way!
Also, there is this mysterious but divine ability inbuilt into the believers that enable us to perceive God’s timings and programmes for our lives whereby we can easily see things not just from the physical perspective alone, but also from the eternal (spiritual) point of view. I believe that was why the Holy Spirit emphasized in the latter part of Ecclesiastes 3:11 that God “… has set the world (or eternity) in our hearts…” In other words, we have God’s divine ability, which empowers us from the divine perspective of eternity, and not just from the ethereal viewpoint of time alone, to not only effortlessly know the programmes that He has carved out for us, but to also freely yield our lives to them.
With this knowledge in mind, our prayer henceforth should be for the grace to learn to wait for our own times and seasons to arrive un-delayed and un-aborted by the agents of darkness.
John, the Baptist waited for the proper season for his ‘showing forth’ to the nation of Israel as the forerunner of our Lord Jesus Christ. No wonder his ministry was well received and quite successful until the very end. On the other hand, Moses, the prophet-leader tried to forcefully enter into his ministry, and for that had to pass through the harrowing and horrendous schools of arduous suffering and rigorous waiting for a period lasting a total of eighty years before becoming adequately qualified to be at the vanguard of Israel’s emancipation from slavery.
We too should pray for patience and continue to wait for God’s appointed times and seasons in order for the beautiful things of our lives to manifest so that we can make maximum and effective impact on our generation for the glory of God.

A job well done in covering the "times and seasons" during our walk with Jesus. Thanks you.
Beautifully written and so true. If man were in charge of the "times and seasons" the timing surely would not be organized at all. "Wait" on the Lord...
