TO ENHANCE YOUR FAITH, TRY VEGETABLE GARDENING...
God is Intricately-Detailed. Modern scientists know eons more about the complexity of a single 'atom' than they did 50 years ago. God knows EVERYTHING about the atom, a breathtaking thought in itself.
A vegetable garden contains a mass of plants and vines, loaded with pretty yellow flowers (other colors too) ---closed at night and open during daylight. The purpose of the flowers is to produce fruit. However, a flower must be 'pollinated' before it bears fruit. Some exceptions exist, such as, the tomato plant. We say they "self-pollinate" for the most part--- and each flower can produce a tomato. However, squash, cucumbers, zucchini, cantaloupes, and watermelons need assistance in the 'pollinating' process. This group of plants generate male and female flowers on the same plant---and no way to interact to develop fruit.
God had/has a plan for the vegetable world!
Along came.....buzzing bees: many kinds of bees.
All hungry for 'lots' of pollen to take home to momma.
So they visit many flowers on their journeys.
Mixing the pollen of the male flowers
with that of the female flowers---'pollinating'
the female flowers which then yield fruit.
Do you think some human being somewhere,
sometime thought this plan up?
God is indeed Master of the Plant World.
God had/has a plan for the plant world. God had/has a plan for mankind. For the openhearted and willing, God has beautiful plans for His children: "...because God had decided on an even better plan for us. His purpose was that only in company with us would they be made perfect." Heb 11:40. God always intended an interactive, intensive, intimate relationship with mankind.
In the sense that when something gives a us a greater appreciation of how Big, how Magnificent, how Intricately- Detailed the work of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ is, in that sense, our faith can grow noticeably.
Because God had/has a plan. Right from the beginning: " In the beginning, when God created the universe..." Gen 1:1. "And so the whole universe was completed. By the seventh day God finished what He had been doing and stopped working." Gen 2:1,2. Sounds simple enough. How did He do it? Slightly more complicated:
"...but in these last days He has spoken to us through His Son. He is the one through Whom God created the universe, the one Whom God has chosen to possess all things at the end.
He reflects the brightness of God's glory and is the exact likeness of God's own being, sustaining the universe with His powerful word. After achieving forgiveness for the sins of all human beings, He sat down in heaven at the right side of God, the Supreme Power." Heb 1:2,3.
THAT Man Jesus Who walked on this earth as an 'ordinary' person---THAT Man had the universe created through Him. Awesome, I say! Can we fathom that truth? Does it not cause our level of faith to jump to a higher level?
The God of the cantaloupe and watermelon and the bees IS, by faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, my God, too. Amen and Amen.
