My search has brought me here,
Something draws me near,
From a foot outside,
It looks dark and cold,
Fear from the unknown,
Bright light shines from windows,
My feet are frozen even though I want to go,
I know little about it, Do I want to?
Yes, Again I want to go,
Yet something inside says “NO”
I put my hand on the window,
Warmth, and even Joy, yes Joy, Peace, Love,
On faces, in the words I hear,
Even in the air,
So different,
I want to leave, Yet I need to see,
I have heard it is for all, but, for me?
Finally my feet move a bit more,
I can feel the light, As I open the door,
This is the house of the Lord,
Finally, I am welcomed in, Leave behind my sin,
Peace and Joy I now share, Because I found it here,
As I look through the window,
Finally in the Arms of God,
There’s no doubt where I belong,
Strange,
The world outside looks dark and cold.

Another good one Peter!! Great truth!
Great Peter, The struggle is clear - tugs both ways - but, oh the joy when the penitent sinner gives in to the tuggings of the Holy Spirit. Good stuff! God bless! Donna
Peter, love the last line of this poem! ~ Violet
Oh yes Peter, this was excellent. I agree with Violet, that last line was just perfect. With love, Deb
