Jamawolf99
My fingers raced across the Xbox controller in a desperate attempt to save myself. With only two lives left I wasn’t going down without a fight. The individuality of my fingers was now lost forever, and I my mind raced on deeper and deeper into the cyberic world I was indulged in. As my opponent fell, I hid behind a rock and waited for my shield to regenerate. With a full suit of armor on my body, I darted out across Blood Gulch. As I athwart the empty field I caught sight of my nemesis, Jamawolf99. Jamawolf99 had ruled the Halo game for weeks, dominating Blood Gulch, and various other playing fields. Now on his eighth “Killing Spree”, I could sense that behind his animated mask he was smiling. With the other members of my team eliminated, it was now up to me to destroy Jamawolf99. I quickly ducked behind some rocks, and traded my automatic for a sniper. I slowly stood up, only to see that he was gone. I scanned the hazy horizon in vain; my opponent had disappeared into the foggy horizon of Blood Gulch
The rays of sun whited out my screen as I slowly walked a long, through the narrow passage way of hidden cave. Stopping to pick up a few plasma grenades, I thought I saw something across the valley dodge behind a boulder. I raised my scope a zoomed in, and there, sniper rifle pointed straight at me, was Jamawolf99. I saw the smoke from his barrel, and quickly stepped to the left, as a bullet whizzed over the top of me. I raised my gun and fired. Jamawolf99 sprung into the air, the bullet pacing harmlessly beneath him. I rose from my hiding spot, infuriated at the skill of the person controlling Mr. Jama. Suddenly I had an idea. I had been playing over at my friend’s house, before I came home to play Xbox. I remember what he had told me about anticipating someone’s move. I thought hard and tried to put my self in Jamawolf’s shoes. I thought, “Where would I go if it was me verses one guy, who’s low on ammo, and has a headache?”
As I thought, it suddenly a cured to me, where else to go than to the vehicle hanger! With a vehicle you could move twice as fast and shoot up to 5 times faster. That was it!! I stood up, a shaft of light shooting through my soul, igniting my eyes with fire. I throw down my sniper and picked up not one, but two fully automatic weapons, reloaded, wiped the sweat from my brow, and headed full tilt to ward Jamawofl99.
Just as I had predicted, Jamwolf was about to climb into a tank when I arrived. I jumped off the cliff and held down my triggers, sending a volley of shots toward him. I saw a few hit him, and I was overjoyed to know that I had decreased his health. Even before I hit the ground Jamawolf99 was firing back, unloading a round into the dirt before me. I dropped one of my guns, and threw a plasma grenade into the hanger. A thunderous explosion shook the ground around me, and then all was silent. I relaxed. Then I heard a small sound. Like a something made of metal rolling along the ground. I looked down to see grenade at my feet. I jumped up just as it exploded, saving myself from a certain death. I landed on the roof and there stood Jamawofl99, with a evil grin spreading across his face. We both fired at the same time, the blast knocked both our weapons off the roof, I rolled over and picked up a solitary pistol with 1 shot left. Jamawolf drew out a plasma sword, and I shuddered knowing of the destruction that could cause. Jamawolf came eased forward, not wanting to do anything rash. Suddenly his sprinted forward, I quickly dodged out of the way. Striking at me twice more, I could tell he was getting angry. Suddenly, as he turned around to face me again, his sword prophetically came down. I saw my chance with out aiming pulled the trigger. The smoke cleared, and there on the top of bunker 2 in Blood Gulch, lay Jamawolf99 a pool of blood around his head.
The controller, now limp in my hands, dripped sweat onto my jeans. Then slowly a smile came over my face. I had won. I looked over to my left and said, “I beat you dad.”
