Children
This is a true story of how God sent His Son Jesus from heaven to earth. Fully God and fully man, Jesus came out from the Holy of Holies in the Tabernacle where God the Father dwells. Before He stepped out of the Holy of Holies, Jesus was in His Father’s bosom. Jesus knew the Father loved Him dearly but because the Father loved us just as much, Jesus wanted to bring us to the bosom of the Father.
There was a man named Malachi who lived on earth. Up to the time when he brought God’s word to the people, Jesus had not stepped out of the Holy of Holies. Also, the people on earth did not know the Father by the same name Jesus knew His Father. The people only knew Him as God Almighty and God of Hosts. Jesus knew those were not the only names the Father wanted the people on earth to know because He wanted them to call Him “Father”. So when Jesus came to earth, He came to reveal the Father’s name. This never happened before.
However, God cannot be the Father to the people all at once. This was because the people unlike God were not Holy and perfect. For many years, the people tried to obey God’s teachings but they failed again and again. So to make them righteous like Him, the Father sent Jesus to die on the cross to forgive the people because they failed.
Now, before Jesus died on the cross He was all alone in a quiet garden called Gethsemane. There, Jesus lifted His eyes to heaven to pray to the Father. Although Jesus knew He was going to be captured to be nailed to the cross, Jesus thought about the people in this world, including you and me. Jesus knew that we might forget that the Father loves us very much because we do not see Him. So Jesus prayed for you and me that we will know the Father loved us as much as He loved Jesus.
Jesus also wants us to tell other children about Him so He prayed for them that they might believe this story when we tell it to them. That is why we do not have to be afraid when we tell our friends this true story about how Jesus came from the Father. When Jesus prayed in Gethsemane, He asked the Father to keep and protect us in His name. Now, always remember the name in which we are kept safe and sound - the name is “Father.”
Whenever you feel lonely, do not forget that the Father and Jesus are One - Jesus is in you and you in Him. Remember that Jesus prayed for you - it is very easy to talk to God because He is your Father but when you cannot find the words to say how you feel when you are sad, you can always ask Jesus to pray for you - He has before in Gethsemane and He always will. God’s spirit will remind us and show us the Father‘s love so that we will never be afraid. The Father’s perfect love casts out all our fears. Even though we are in this world, we are safe and sound in the Father’s bosom because Jesus brought us back with Him to the Holy of Holies to be with the Father. No matter how old we grow, our Father in Heaven always protects all His little children like you and me.
