Poetry
Far away from his father and mother
Far away from his sister and brother
Far away very far away he flew
Yearning for love, he grew
Yet he truly lived his life
Often with God did strife
Holding onto a reluctant rope
A summit climbed he with hope
Until she, his only secret passion
Abruptly left for another companion
God did smile from above
Spoke thus to the heavenly dove
"O this My son! A poor fellow!
Liked by all a marshmallow
Sincerely searches for immortal love
In places where only lives mortal love
Unaware God alone is love."
Man in his heart did propose
And God did openly dispose
Lost love does linger
Who's but the blamer?
Money the mighty man
Marred his marriage plan
Apparently played a major part
He kept them legally apart
His aunt did say
He'd have gone astray
If with me he did not stay
Treats as slave but son does portray
She says, "He's my beloved.
No word exists called 'discord'
Care and concern I show
My mind his welfare knows."
Deftly placing a gleaming glass
Tactfully she picked up the pitcher
Thinking of him as yet a crawler
Thoughtfully she poured the mocker
Sweet, strong, soothing it did shimmer
Tenderly she did beckon
Affectionately asked him to sip on
Her motions were a virtual cuddle
Meant medicine for his muddled mental puddle
Glancing at his wife in a casual way
Who suddenly sobbed and sped away
He said, "Beware, she's my beloved.
No word exists called 'discord'
Care and concern she shows
Her mind my welfare knows."
God did cry from above
Spoke thus to the heavenly dove
"O My daughter also seeks immortal love
In places where lives mortal love
Aware that I alone am called love"
That day he became not a brawler
Following day proved him a fighter
Quoth he, "You made my life miserable.
I never expected a life so terrible"
Thus began the New year
Making his wife shudder and fear
Yet he truly continues living his life
Often questioning God in strife
"I asked of You not this life
Neither do I cherish my wife
When I asked You for luxury
Why dost thou offer this penury?
How can I Your blessings receive?
Also help me to perceive."
Concealing His countenance God did smile
No spiritual growth of even a mile
Still he seeks immortal love
In places where only lives mortal love
Unaware God alone is love
Genuine love would endure hardship
Pay any ransom for relationship
Money stood like a mountain
Blinding many a human fountains
And if he were her own son
Would a mother's heart delight?
On seeing her son in this plight?
Would she offer that?
O Lord! tell me would she offer that?
You dripped her paths with abundance
Made her vats over-flow by providence
For can something good turn a devil?
Or can a devil offer good?
I know not exactly what is true
My guileless heart speaks and it's true
Who has known Thy mind O Lord?
Or who is Thy counselor my God?
Lost love does linger
Who's but the blamer?
I strive not with my Maker
Yet, thus stands this picturesque
Reminding me of its grotesque
Echoing ever "Can love destroy?"

Wow, there is so much here. However, what stands out the most (to me) is the frustration of looking for others to provide what only God can. Just awesome! Thank you for your comment.
