Devotionals
The Bible speaks about a certain morning in Jerusalem. Jesus wakes up and dresses and gets ready to go to the temple. Jesus is charged up. He can't wait to get to temple so He can teach. He was looking forward to telling the jews more about His Father's kingdom. In fact Jesus was so anxious to teach that He didn't take time to eat breakfast. When it came to doing God's will Jesus always took time to fulfill it. He always took time to pray. He always took time to read His Father's word. He always took time to go to church, in fact it was His custom. He took the time to help and heal people. And yes He even took the time to die for us on the cross. What a wonderful Savior! Can we not make time for Him? You know the Devil has to be enjoying this fast paced world that we live in. He loves it when things are hectic and we're in a hurry! And because we are in a hurry, we don't have time to pray. We don't have time to read His Word. We don't have time to spend with Him. We don't have time to go to church. We don't have time to testify about Jesus. We don't have time to sing for Him. We don't have time to praise Him! Why don't we have time to do God's will? Well we actually do but we don't willingly take the time to do it. Yet we have the time to take our children to baseball and softball games on bible study nights. So instead of being in church to learn about, the One who took time for us, we are at the ball field learning balls and strikes. When we are actually home we decide the lawn needs mowed, so we stay home from revival services. It's fun to go fishing and four wheeling especially on Sunday mornings. And the all time favorite, I don't have time to go to church this morning, because it's the only day I get to sleep in. Bear in mind I'm not talking about unbelievers in this devotion, I'm talking about those who say they are Christians. I love Jesus, but I just don't have the time to serve Him. But I still love Him. Oh yes the devil has to be happy with a lot of Christians. But remember one day we all will stand before God. How terrible it would be if He would say," Since you had no time for me on Earth, now in eternity I have no time for you. Depart from me! Think about it. How are you using your time?
