Poetry
Sometimes it seems to me
That there’s no one there that cares for me
About the things that make me cry
The things that hurt me deep inside.
There’s no one there where e’er I turn
To give the comfort for which I yearn
Who can I turn to when I don’t feel strong?
When I need a shoulder to lean upon?
I try so very hard to be
A good example of Christianity
To smile through every strife
Because I know I have eternal life.
But when in my closet there I go
Oh how it hurts me so
Sometimes it seems too much to bear
With no one else with which to share.
But it’s when I feel most overcome
That I’m reminded of His Son
Who came and died for me
That I might live eternally.
Jesus, my Comforter and Friend
He’ll be with me to the end
What then is there that I can’t face
After He gave His saving grace?
So unto Him be all the praise
For He is the Ancient of Days
And peace and joy He gives to me
In the midst of my raging seas.
So I want to encourage you
While you are going through
In spite of what you feel
Know that God is real
And He’ll always be right there
To calm your every fear
So cast your cares on him
For He’s your Creator, He’s your King.

"Numbers 6:24,25,26"
Very beautifully written. I am sure this poem will be of comfort to others who are burdened with trials and tribulations, and may feel they are facing the world all alone...so many times it helps just to know we are not alone. Perhaps that is why God instructed us to comfort on another. Great Poem!
