Encouragement
Our Bradford pear tree shakes in the blustery, spring day with its leaves waving violently and I’m expecting Winnie the Pooh and his friends to appear. Pigeons are cooing under the tree, scratching and pecking for food looking for leftover birdseed from the day before. Windchimes twinkle out their melodious sounds swaying in the wind.
Yesterday, I was taking my husband to a dental appointment and the skies were fairly clear with darkness to the west of us. I settled down in the comfortable chair in the waiting room area and prepared to read my book. Quickly, the weather outside brought in nasty weather and overhead, dark, swirling mass spewed out small sized hail. Three bouts of hail crashed down within an hour’s time span. Here in North Central Texas, we are on heightened alert to these frequent occurrences during Springtime to bring about the dreaded tornado. Someone mentioned we were under a tornado alert which caused a bit of anxiety in my heart.
Looking out the window, I saw in the far distance, blackened skies and arched magnificently between me and the pitch-black skies, was a gorgeous rainbow! Like a soft breath upon my face, was the realization of God’s promise to me of better days ahead. Springing forth in my heart, the Lord deposited hope and love. During the loud, intimidating roar of the storm, His still, small, Voice whispered words to strengthen and encourage me bringing about His much-needed peace.

He is faithful to speak, "Peace Be Still" to the storms in our lives. Other times He holds us close and allows us to learn to trust Him through the storms. Great writing.

Was just reminded via a rainbow the other day to hold on to the promises that He's made to me... "God always keeps His promises." And He's always so faithful to give us those sweet and subtle, but beautiful reminders. Well written blessing for us all. Thanks
