Poetry
At the loneliest hour of midnight
While the whole world seems to sleep
If you would only listen
You could hear the Savior speak
In your heart He softly whispers
In a voice that's meek and low
By the blood that flowed at Calvary
He will wash you white as snow
He will fill your empty feeling
Take away your guilt from sin
It's so easy to be forgiven
You must only let Him in
It's not only while your living
In this life he helps as well
For when death has closed upon you
There is heaven, instead of hell

That midnight hour is the most awesome hour of the "day" as far as I'm concerned. I just heard the other day that back in Jesus' time, sundown was considered the beginning of day, rather than sunrise. Perhaps we get our direction for the day at "daybreak" after all. Another someone once told me that the Father prefers to speak with us during the night hours because that is the time in which our souls are most quiet... when our conscious thinking doesn't get in the way of our "hearing." Your gift for poetry is such a blessing to others. ("Stir up the gifts that are in you.") :::smile:::
