If LOVE is the answer, what is the question?
What is LOVE?
If you ask several people on the street to define love, I'm quite sure you will get different kinds of answers. A Chinese chef once said that "love is the soy sauce in the chow mein of life." A man who lost his sight gave his own personal definition, "love is blind." A married couple who traveled around the world in romantic places claimed that "love makes the world go round."
As corny as it sounds from our own imperfect human definitions, love or the lack of it is still consider the cause of many social ills, broken relationships and world chaos. True love or unconditional love on the other hand, can have the power to heal, to inspire poets and writers, artists and others, as it is the most powerful motivating force known to man.
This love month, allow me to give my own definitions of love:
1. LOVE is seeing the best in a person even at his worst.
2. LOVE is having a shoulder to cry on, and being there to wipe a tear.
3. LOVE is picking after your own mess, to save someone the trouble of picking after you.
4, LOVE is listening to someone without interrupting, even if what he's saying doesn't make any sense.
5. LOVE is laughing at someone's joke no matter how corny it is, just to make the other person feel better.
6. LOVE is letting the other person win an argument even when you know you are right.
7. LOVE is wiping the toilet seat after you use it or better yet, putting a new toilet paper after you use the last piece.
8. LOVE is deleting the words sarcasm, intimidation and back fighting from your vocabulary and replacing them with words that will build someone up.
9. LOVE is saying a silent prayer for others everyday, wishing only the best for them.
10. LOVE is complimenting someone in a crowd especially when you know this person can hear you from a distance.
11. LOVE spells TIME for each other.
12 LOVE is letting GOd's love flow through you by
turning your focus away from from yourself, and be interested instead on the welfare of others.
