In this hour it is crucial that the church comes to understand
the times in which we are now living.
Due to God’s intense love and extended mercy He is not about to let us continue doing church the same any longer, He is now calling us up into our inheritance as the Church.
There are divine things which have been set in order for those who are serious about God and wh will no longer be tempted or feel they have the option to visit Egypt.
Esther 1:3-19 tells us a similar story concerning the times we are now living in.
In the third year of the Kings reign He made a feast for all of his officials and servants.
He desired to show the riches of his glorious kingdom and the splendor of his excellent majesty
And they served drinks in golden vessels, each vessel being different from the other according to the hand of the king. (The golden vessels are representative of each one of our lives who belong to Him)
In the meantime Vashti (representing a majority of today’s church) made 'a feast of her own' for the women in the royal palace, which the King belonged.
On the seventh day, or the fullness of time, when the heart of the King was merry with wine (intoxicated with love for His Bride) He commanded his officials to bring the Queen before Him, wearing her royal crown, in order to show her beauty to the people and the officials, for she was beautiful to behold.
However the Queen refused to come at the Kings command. Her drunkenness did not lead her to obedience but rather her self-indulgence. She chose rather to stay in her own chambers. We read in the book of matt concerning another feast which enraged a King, it was the wedding banquet, and all who were invited at first call were busy with their own lives.Matt 22
The King sent out His servants to call those who were invited to the Wedding, however they were not willing to surrender 'their own' plans and agendas or traditions in order to obey the call.
Now the King inquired of the wise men that had understanding of the times, 'speaking of an understanding of a particular season of time one is in'. And he said of her, Queen Vashti has not only wronged the King, but also all of the Princes, and all of the people who are in the Provinces of the King. (When we do not obey the command of our Lord the consequences of our sin affects others as well)
My question to the church today would be- what will we do when we hear the summons of our King to come out of our Chambers (our individual churches and homes) in order to display the beauty of His glory and power, His majesty?
Will we be able to discern the times and honor His command, or will we remain in our own chambers enjoying the 'wine' of selfish indulgence?
What happened to Vashti?
Esther 1:19
Let the King give her royal position to another who is better then she. So we see that through her willful disobedience Vashti lost her place of authority, as well as she was no longer found under the protection, and provision of the King and his kingdom- It is of my opinion the greatest tragedy here is that she lost her place of intimacy with the King Himself.
Matt 22 tells a very similar story
The King sent out His servants to call those who were invited to the Wedding, however they were not willing to surrender their own plans and agendas or traditions in order to obey the call.
Matt 21:43
Jesus Himself says, therefore I say to you, the Kingdom will be taken from you and given to a nation (a people) bearing the fruits of it.
In this hour we must seek to draw near to the father’s heart as we hear His call to come away with Him.
We have already stepped into the river but have only gone ankle deep. God is calling for us to go deeper, even to where the waters may be rough-taking us out of our own control and leading us into places where we would not have chosen on our own to go. This will demand from us a greater level of commitment and surrender.
We must seek Him until we find Him and then seek to live and rest in that place. We must have a depth of communion with Him that allows our spirit to hide itself in God, drawing from His Holy Spirit both the revelation and the resources to accomplish His plan.
As our journey toward transformation continues we will experience an increasing hunger and thirst for renewed revelation and nearness to God.
He is calling us to Himself that we will no longer build His Kingdom with our own understanding, it is time for us to come along side of Him to find out what He is doing and do it with Him. As we do this we will no longer be shackled down by the cares of this world but will be free to go higher with Him fulfilling the purpose of His heart in the power of His presence.
