Encouragement
Dear friend,
Would you dare visit your King or President with casual motives and expect to return with great, honourable benefits? I think not! Why then do we come before God, the creator of Heaven and Earth, the King of kings and Lord of lords, the Almighty and into His awesome presence week after week casually and as usual, and then expect to return with the salvation, deliverance, healing, miracles and other bountiful blessings He promised us? Is He deceiving us or we are deceiving ourselves? Hebrews 11:6b says that "God rewards those who seek Him diligently". That means, casual, nonchalant and pious seekers may go unrewarded!
The other day, Jesus decided to choose and employ 12 disciples/apostles. He didn't rush first to publish the vacancies in the best newspapers!
Luke 6:12, 13.
One day soon afterward, Jesus went to a mountain to pray, and He prayed to God all night. At daybreak He called together all of His disciples and chose twelve of them to be apostles.
As the light of this great world, we have the great responsibility to boldly demonstrate God's glorious power through our godly, sound Christian character, divine healing, deliverance, salvation and other blessings we receive through scriptural principles. That marked the entire lifestyle of Jesus Christ, we must not deviate. Sorrow free, peaceful and enduring blessings come from seeking God first, reverently, diligently and fervently.
The LORD wants to deal with some pressing needs in your life this weekend through your local Church. He also wants to use you in a powerful, special way to bless others. There's amazing power, deliverance and blessings in your local church, but you must prepare to receive and enjoy them.
Obadiah 1:17. Paraphrased.
But upon mount Zion (the gathering of the saints of God, the church) shall be deliverance, and there shall be holiness; and the house of Jacob (the sons and daughters of God) shall possess their possessions. (Their inheritance in Christ Jesus)
Let's look unto Jesus and imitate Him alone. I suggest that you spend this entire Saturday night from 12 midnight - 6am Sunday morning in prayer. (Through the night). Attack the gates of hell - Matthew 18:19; Principalities and Powers - Ephesians 6:12; Bankruptcy/poverty - 2Corinthians 8:9. Etc. Pray God's power, presence and wisdom over every ministry or department in your local Church. Take a short nap on Sunday morning after the prayer session and go to your local Church for worship with great expectation! Great testimonies and blessings will come back with you and will continue throughout next week, I assure you in Jesus' name, amen.
*Make sure you go to bed early on Saturday evening so you can rest properly, strong enough to stay awake through the night. Go to bed say by 7.30pm. Set your mobile phone or any appropriate device on alarm to wake you up by 12 midnight. If you are new to this, then please try to keep awake through the night at all costs; read aloud the Psalms, pray for friends, family and fans by their names, sing praises to God periodically etc.
Have a marvelous day in God's awesome presence.
