Encouragement
Dear friend,
Any door will eventually open IF the knocker would persist, irrespective of the type of door or its lock! If God gave you a promise, it will definitely come to pass. In case there is some nasty delay, then stop waiting, go ahead and do something to bring it to pass before it slips off! Keep knocking!
Lk.11:5-13.
Then, teaching them more about prayer, he used this story: “Suppose you went to a friend’s house at midnight, wanting to borrow three loaves of bread. You say to him, “A friend of mine has just arrived for a visit, and I have nothing for him to eat. And suppose he calls out from his bedroom, “Don’t bother me. The door is locked for the night, and my family and I are all in bed. I can’t help you.” But I tell you this, though he won’t do it for friendship’s sake, if you keep knocking long enough, he will get up and give you whatever you need because of your indomitable persistence.
And so I tell you, keep on asking, and you will receive what you ask for. Keep on seeking, and you will find. Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks, receives. Everyone who seeks finds. And to everyone who knocks, the door will be opened.
“You fathers if your children ask for a fish, do you give them a snake instead? Or if they ask for an egg, do you give them a scorpion? Of course not! So if you sinful people know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him?”
Isaiah 62:6, 7.
I have posted watchmen on your walls, Jerusalem; they will never be silent day or night. You who call on the LORD, give yourselves no rest, and give him no rest till he establishes Jerusalem and makes her the praise of the earth.
Nothing in the world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not: nothing is more common than unsuccessful men and women with talents. Genius will not: unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not: the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent. - Thomas Watson.
The forces of nature and the sound principles of life see to it that great achievement and lasting success respond only to the beck and call of persistent knockers. This absolutely supports God’s infallible Word stated above! See also Lk.18:1-8. Little wonder the ladder of success is not crowded at the top! See you at the top!
Persistence is a shrewd, subtle, and sometimes very difficult character test. Don’t avoid or bypass it, hang on and pass the test. It’s your blessing in disguise! Develop, and even ask God to give you a specific divine plan of action. Wisdom is profitable to direct. Now with absolute focus and whole hearted desire to succeed, be determined and persistent to experience a positive change. I assure you that your expectation shall not be cut off.
Failure, poverty, and defeat are bold, ruthless, harsh, and brash. They demand no specific plan or particular effort to acquire them. Conversely, sustained success, wealth, and victory are timid, naive, shy, and often shrewd. They must be wooed, persuaded, and attracted by ingenious planning, diligent effort, and indomitable courage coupled with persistence!
To be successful in any test, you need to acquire not only relevant, but also adequate information. As you pray, engage also in an in depth search, research, and study. Uncover vital information to eradicate mediocrity, stagnation and retrogression. Sharpen and refresh your mind with updated insight just as you strengthen your spirit/heart with prayer and God’s exceptional Word.
Therefore, that nasty naughty situation in your marriage, ministry, business or relationship with life, is demanding you take and pass the persistence test! Put your hands on the plow and never look back. Set your face like a flint determined to do God’s will alone, and then you’re definitely certain to qualify for the rewards and blessings of God’s glorious Kingdom. That’s because you’re already God’s heir. Lk.9:62; Isa.50:7; Gal.4:1-7.
THE INSIDIOUS PLOT AND VICTORY.
Sneers the devious Devil, “Your grief and burdens we have stepped up, so, will you give up?”
Replies the Christian, “Definitely, I’ll give up!”
Unanimous cheers in hell, “Yippee! Yeah, let him give up right now! We now have him where we want him, his time is up! We’ve won!”
With a sly grin, the Devil asks, “Would you keep your promise by throwing in the towel right now?”
Answers Christian, “I keep my promises alright, I won’t give up right now.”
Rowdy protests from hell, “That’s nonsense! Let him say exactly when he’s giving up, he’s finished, we all know!
Asks the Devil in terrible anger and urgency, “Now, when exactly are you giving up? Specify!
Replies the Christian very confidently, “I’ll give up alright, just as I promised, but only as soon as I succeed!”
Boos and Hoots in hell, “We knew all the while he’s a swindler! This guy is sure too smart for us! He’s a fraudster! We thought we had him! We’ve lost again!”
Matt.4:10, 11. “Get out of here Satan. Jesus told him. For the scriptures say, you must worship the Lord your God; and serve only Him. Then the Devil went away, and angels came and cared for Jesus.”
Winners don’t quit and quitters don’t win! Never, ever give up. By persistence the snail got to the ark!
Hear the statement from Paul, the Apostle, a seasoned gospel veteran, Christ’s faithful soldier, with an indomitable resolve to persevere! 2Cor.4:8, 9. “We’re pressed on every side by challenges, but we're not crushed and broken. We perplexed, but we don’t give up and quit. We are hunted down, but God never abandons us. We get knocked down, (sometimes) but we get up again and keep going!”
As we set our hearts, determined never to turn back or accept defeat, we become household names in heaven and hell. In heaven, our steadfast, faithful, and committed stance for God’s kingdom become a reference point and a marvel to saints and angels alike. Our heavenly Father nods His head approvingly and confidently saying, “That indeed is my beloved son/daughter in who I’m well pleased!"
However, in hell, there’s confusion, chaos, and controversy on what else to do to oppose or eliminate you, since all attempts have obviously failed and will continue to fail!
To the persistent child of God, the victory is certain and real. It’s only a matter of time because every demon and situation understands that they are bound to give up on those who will never give up. Hear the thick skinned apostle again. So we don’t look at the challenges we can see right now; rather, we look forward to what we have not yet seen. For the challenges we see will soon be over, but the joys to come will last forever!
Have a marvelous day in God's awesome presence.
