Very good message, Don, and terse!
Good concrete personal example, showing that, with God, we can overcome. And we must open our heart to God. Good metaphor.
I've suffered from depression and anxiety much of my life, sometimes more intensely than other times. Almost four years ago, after I lost my job, partly through my own fault, and did some other foolish things, my depression and anxiety got intense. For awhile, I'd go on the highway and start to purposely walk in front of big trucks. Also, at night, even after not having any caffeine for most of the day, and not much of it, my heart pounded so hard that I almost called 911!
I turned back to God, sought Christian counsel, prayed, read the Bible and Christian materials, etc., and I've changed. I've learned to care more for others.
