Poetry
The Lord is a strong tower,
Where one can find a safe place;
Comfort to spend each hour,
For His mercy and His grace.
Wealth is in a strong city,
A high wall on its borders;
His compassion takes pity,
Those with no living quarters.
A heart becomes arrogant,
Before destruction begins;
Too rude to be elegant,
While anybody sins.
Meekness comes before honor,
Humbled by the stupid shame;
Then becoming a fawner,
That only the Lord can blame.
Your spirit endures sickness,
But can you bear it broken?
Depending on the thickness,
Heals as the Word is spoken.
The mind with understanding,
Gains both knowledge and wisdom;
To what God is commanding,
From the Lord in His Kingdom.
A gift opens for the wise,
For someone who has given;
As it opens ears and eyes,
Unto the gates of Heaven.
The first to plea will seems right,
Till they are cross-examined;
Because it will shed new light,
On truth that has been threatened.
Flipping a coin ends quarrels,
As it settles the issue;
But does not prove the morals,
That any fool would pursue.
Someone is more resistant,
If offended in disputes;
And will become persistent,
To another that refutes.
