God The Planner
In my many years of reading and studying the bible I have found God to be a great planner, He always has a plan. When I look at 1 Peter one and verse twenty, it reads; “ Jesus Christ verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you”. This tells me that before God created Adam and Eve, God had already foreordained Jesus to come to earth and die for humanity’s sin. Revelation thirteen and eight says;” And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship antichrist, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world”. The Lamb of God was considered slain, or killed before God created the world. We can easily see God planning to save humanity even before He created them. God always has a plan.
In psalms one hundred and five we find these words.”Moreover God called for a famine upon the land: He brake the whole staff of bread. He sent a man before them, even Joseph, who was sold for a servant: Whose feet they hurt with fetters: he was laid in iron: Until the time that his word came: the word of the Lord tried him. The king sent and loosed him; even the ruler of the people, and let him go free.” God sent Joseph into Egypt ahead of the Israelites to preserve them during this great faming. Everything that Joseph endured was in the plan of God so that He could save the seed of Abraham during this great famine that came upon the land killing many people and life stock. If God had not been the great planner that He is, Abraham’s seed would have perished by the famine. God is always planning.
In the gospel of Matthew, sixteen and eighteen, Jesus tells peter about His plan to build a church, Jesus says.”And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.” The church was actually birth on the day of Pentecost in Acts chapter two, approximately two years after Jesus informs Peter of His plans. In his letter to the church at Ephesus, Paul tells them and us of God’s future plan for the church, Paul says.”That Christ might present the church to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.” Many saints think that this glorious church will come to pass while the church is on the earth, but I must inform you that this is a heavenly event that God has planned for the Church.
In Paul’s letter to the church at Galatia, he gives us some powerful information, he says.” For whom God did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren. Moreover whom God did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified”. That word predestine, means to mark our ahead of time, or to foreordain, or to plan ahead. God has already planned for me to be in the glorious image of Christ. All of humanity is in the image of God, but this promise says that God has planned for me to be in the glorious image of Jesus Christ. This is made clearer in First Corinthians fifteen and fifty one, listen.” Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality.” The bible says here that at the Rapture of the church we will be changed and take on a glorious body like the one that Jesus has right now, one that lives in heaven as well as on earth. One that travels through time in split seconds, one that can hold food but doesn’t need food to exist. My friend God has great plans for you and me. We saw God’s plan for all of humanity, God’s plan for Israel, God’s plan for the church, and God’s plan for His saints. My friend God is a great planner. If you are going through hard times in your life, just know that God has a plan. Amen
