On Yahoo E-News, January 16, 2016 is a truly one-sided but fully displayed example of ignorance, authored by Jeffrey Tayler about Marco Rubio's "bizzare" faith.
Right away Mr. Tayler cites Scriptural accounts from The First Testament about Abraham, and Job, and other persons, that shows this God that Marco follows in faith to be a real hater.
Not even the picture of Marco Rubio in Church is real, it is a montage by salon.
I am truly amazed that Mr. Tayler knows enough about the Judeo-Christian faith to feel he can write a public article with any confidence, giving his level of ignorance of the facts about his Source; or perhaps worse, maybe he thought to "use with abuse," the Scriptures.
It is very clear to me that he knows nothing of the content of the accounts, nor what happened in the context of the accounts. He must not have studied his Source very well; poor Journalism Mr. Tayler.
I could yell, "Fire!" Anyone listening can certainly translate that mental image, but it is not really descriptive of what is actually happening. Where is the fire? Am I at risk?
"Ants at the picnic table!" It creates a mental image, but what are the facts? Are there picnickers at the table, or have they gone home and the ants are there for the leftovers?
Mr. Tayler does not bother to support his fears of Rubio's faith with any facts.
Immediately he attacks a "mean God" for every bit as much information as, "Fire!" or, "Ants at the picnic table!"
Does M. Tayler really think that we should give any weight to his flimsy attacks based on his own obvious dislike for God?
Does Mr. Tayler think that his weak knowledge of the Scriptures should move anyone to agree with him?
Mr. Tayler, you did not present the accounts you cited from Scripture in their full context. Back to Journalism 101...
I hope you will read the Bible and know the material if you are going to try to use it as substantive evidence to support your opinion.
Opinions are like noses, we all have one and they are all different: you report yourself to be serious. Really? Serious writing requires well founded facts, not prejudiced opinions.
