PREVIOUSLY IN THE MYSTERIOUS CITIES OF GOLD REVISITED...
While in prison in the city of gold in the Andes, the group faced the danger of a flash flood. After digging their way out of the cell, they saved the inhabitants of the city of gold and were officially set free from their prison.
AND NOW...
After being released from prison and saying goodbye to the inhabitants of the city of gold, the group headed off in their plane to find the next city of gold. "I am so relieved that we survived that storm!" Ben exclaimed when they were flying over Memphis, Tennessee. "God is good!"
"Yes, He is," Stephanie agreed, "and I am glad we saved the lives of the people in the city."
Lionel shook his head. "Ben, I just can't get over how good you are at flying this airplane. You're only seventeen years old, and you're doing an excellent job."
"Thanks, Lionel," Ben said. "My dad's taught me a lot, and I've practiced a lot."
Matthew suddenly noticed something alarming. "Ben, your fuel tank is almost empty!" he exclaimed. "You only have a quarter of a tank left!"
"Oh, no!" Ben cried. "I hope we find an airport soon, although it is getting dark and harder to see things."
Elizabeth looked around. "Look, Ben!" she finally said. "I see a small plane lowering and heading toward that building, the one with all the bright lights."
Ben looked, too. "You're right, Elizabeth," he said. "I'll land the plane right now. Thanks for letting me know."
Ben slowly lowered the plane, and it landed at the airport. As the group was putting fuel into their plane, Matthew suddenly looked intently at the small plane that was right beside them at the next pump, also getting more fuel. He looked as if he were in a trance. "Whoa, beautiful girl at twelve o'clock!" he exclaimed.
Everyone looked and saw a beautiful girl who was about their age and had long, flowing blonde hair like Stephanie and Elizabeth coming out of the plane. Ben grinned. "You're right, Matthew, she IS beautiful," he said. Stephanie glared at him, so Ben went on. "I mean, she's not as beautiful as you, Steph. No one's as beautiful as you."
"Thank you," Stephanie said. "That's better."
The group walked up to the girl. "Hello," Matthew said. "I'm Matthew, and these are my friends, Ben, Stephanie, Elizabeth, Lionel and Alexis. And what might your name be?"
The girl smiled. "I'm Gertrude, a supermodel from Europe. I'm on my way to Kentucky to do a photo shoot. It's nice to meet all of you."
Everyone said it was nice to meet her, too. "Where are you all headed?" Gertrude asked them.
"We're touring the world looking for the famous seven cities of gold," Stephanie answered. "We already found one, the one in the Andes, and are now looking for the other six."
Gertrude suddenly looked worried. "I heard that an evil man from Paris named Philippe Lumiere plans to rob the cities of gold to get richer--he's a tycoon already, but that's not good enough for him. He wants more. I think he'd try to take over the world if he thought he could."
The group was very alarmed. "What do we do?" Alexis asked. "That includes the people from the Andes, who have become our friends. We need to help them! We need to do something!"
Lionel agreed and put his arm around her. "We definitely do, darling," he said. "We need to come up with a plan." Ben, Stephanie, Matthew, Gertrude, and Elizabeth nodded in agreement.
TO FOLLOW...
The group heads to Paris to find out about how Philippe plans to rob the cities of gold. Philippe catches them spying on him and captures them. He steals Ben and Stephanie's bracelets so he can open up the doors to the buildings of the cities. Will Ben and Stephanie get their bracelets back to before it is too late? Find out in the next episode of THE MYSTERIOUS CITIES OF GOLD REVISITED.
