Tuesday 3/18/14 Pastor Michael sermon Ten Laws of Sowing & Reaping
===============================================================
There are certain biblical laws of sowing and reaping that are explained for us in the Bible. Often these principles are applied to money (and they do indeed). However, these principles apply to nearly every area of life in the Kingdom of God. If your life is not where it ought to be, it may be because of what you are doing or what you have done.
**Law #1 – Sowing Always Precedes Reaping: Eccles. 11:1
The truth is we are all sowing something whether we realize it or not. Unfortunately, the negative things that we sow will produce a harvest just as much as the good things we sow. We have to sow and plant to get a harvest. Don’t look at the outward conditions, just sow your seed! We are sowing into our minds, marriages, children, work life etc. When we work God’s laws we can change our life. If we work God’s laws right we can better ourselves. The laws in the Word of God work every time. If we know how to use God’s laws than greater is coming sooner!
a. If we sow honest labor, we will reap increase. Prov. 13:11, 14:23, 21:25
b. If we sow in diligence, we will reap riches. Prov. 10:4-5, 12:24
c. If we sow righteousness, we will reap mercy. Hos. 10:12, Prov. 22:8
d. If we sow to the Spirit, we will reap everlasting life. Gal. 6:7-8
Don’t be surprised when Greater shows up because we have done the work/planted seeds.
**Law # 2- Sowing Involves Both Faith And Risk: John 12:24
When you sow seeds you have to give away what you could eat. You bury perfectly good seed and believe that nature will do its magic. FAITH is the water that grows your seed! By faith the law is going to bless you. When you give the seed away it dies to us but it produces in faith. Gal. 6:8-10 Sow for the Kingdom.
**Law #3- Sowing Is Much More Difficult Than Reaping: Psalm 126:5-6 Both sowing and reaping involve work, but in the case of reaping the worker sees the immediate reward for his labor. Trust God. Sow it and walk away, trusting God!
**Law #4- Sowing Requires The Patience Of The One Sowing: James 5:7-8 Reaping does not immediately follow sowing. In nature, if you sow rabbit seed, it takes about 31 days to reap a crop of rabbits. There may be a significant lapse of time between the sowing and the reaping. Give it some time! Genesis 8:22- Seedtime and Harvest time. Our harvest is on the way! This is our year. The year 2014, will be the greatest year!
**Law #5- Reaping Is In Direct Proportion To The Sowing: I Cor. 9:6 The size of the harvest is always determined at the time of planting. He who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly and he who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. Sow stingy, reap stingy. Sow a whole lot, reap a whole lot. Keep our faith! Release the seed, let our faith water our seeds and see the Greater works! Our upgrades! Have an expectation for God to upgrade us! Act like it is already done!
