In The Storm
Coming Out Of The Storm
We can begin again! After experiencing so many things, most of them were after I was in Christ. In life in general I have come to the conclusion that the storm comes right at the tenth hour of life. This tenth hour is something life changing; it brings about storms we would never imagine. Is it the Lord’s doing? Is He that controls all things upon the earth? After all the earth is his and the fullness thereof, all things were made by him, of him and for him. God is till multiplying us even in our old age. We grow to leaps and bounds because as we age in wisdom, gain knowledge and get understanding we come to a closer relationship with Him. If God bring us to it; He is also able to bring us out of it!
Genesis 10 talks about Noah and his sons coming out after the flood. As we live today, we too are in the tenth hour. In the tenth hour everything crawls out of the crevices. Everything comes out of hiding but also every sin must die before the clock strikes midnight. Noah and his sons gathered in the Ark; the boat God told Noah to build.
Genesis 6:5-8 and God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. And it repented the Lord that he had made man of the earth and it grieved him at his heart. And the Lord Said I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth; both man, and beast, and the creeping thing, and the fowls of the air; for it repenteth me that I have them. But Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord.
Genesis 6:11-14 the earth also was corrupt before God, and the earth was filled with violence. And God looked upon the earth and behold it was corrupt; for all flesh had corrupted his way upon the earth. and God said unto Noah, the end of all flesh is come before me; for the earth is filled with violence through them; and behold I will destroy them with the earth. Make thee an ark of gopher wood; rooms shalt thou make in the ark, and shall pitch it within and without with pitch.
Genesis 6:17-18 and behold, I, even I do bring a flood of waters upon the earth, to destroy all flesh, wherein is the breath of life, from under heaven; and everything that is in the earth shall die. But with thee will I establish my covenant; and thos shall come into the ark, thou, and thy sons, and thy wife, and thy son’s wives with thee.
It was about the tenth hour of the day when God looked upon the earth and saw that man had multiplied upon the face of the earth and daughters were born unto them. The sons of men saw the daughters of men that they were fair and they took them wives of all which they chose; pretty much like today. Men look upon women and saw they were fair and decided that they would have what they want and not what God ordained. God said “my spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh; yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years”. The Giants in the earth in those days; and also after that when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men they bore children to them and they became mighty men which were of old, men of renown. But man became wicked and their wickedness was great in the earth, every imagination of their hearts was only evil continuously.
But one man Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord as God thought about destroying man whom he had created from the face of the earth. God told Noah to build an ark. He gave Noah specific specifications concerning building the ark. It would be made of gopher wood; supposedly a species of the pine family. The Ark was a large floating vessel Noah was to construct as God had commanded. It would preserve Noah and his family from the flood God would send upon the earth along with all that would come on board at the command of God. The Ark was to be three hundred cubits in length, and fifty cubits in breadth and thirty cubits in height. A (one) window he was to make; one cubit finished above and the door of the ark was to be set in the side thereof with lower, second and third stories. How specific could God had been? For best results follow instructions!
God knew how he would bring the waters upon the earth. “behold I, even I do bring a flood of waters upon the earth to destroy all flesh, wherein is the breath of life, from under heaven; and everything that is in the earth shall die”. The chapter ended saying Noah according to all that God commanded him so did he. Noah and all his house was saved in the ark because God had seen righteousness in them in that generation. For forty days and forty nights (Genesis 7:17-23) God caused rain to fall upon the earth to destroy every living substance he had made that was not in the ark. God brought Noah to this storm and God kept him in the storm safe. How many times have we been in a storm and felt alone in it? We weren’t alone; God is always there. God promise us as he did with Noah and his sons (Genesis 9:8-17) to calm the storm and bring us out.
What happens at the tenth hour of life when we think we can’t reach midnight? Noah was in the tenth hour of his life when the storms came at midnight. God warns us of and destroys everything in our lives that is not like him but he gives us a chance to get it right. He makes a way of escape for us but we don’t take it sometime and cause death to come to us in our situations, conditions, or circumstances. In the tenth hour things happen that never happened before, things change more toward the night; freaks, geeks, cheaters and leeches comes out. It seems to be the Devil’s reign, yet he has no reign; God reigns! The children of men are something else when no one is looking.
