John 3:16 KJV
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish but have everlasting life.
A beautiful scripture from God's Word that tells us so much about who God is. Have you ever read these words and at one time you stopped after reading the first four words and concentrated on what they say? For God so loved. Who did he love? You and me and the whole creation of man, that's who. Four simple words and yet such a powerful and amazing truth about who God is. God id love a love that mankind will never be able to fully understand.A love that knows no boundaries. Romans 5:8 tells us that God gave his love to us in spite of our sinful ways, in that he sent his one and only Son, Jesus Christ , to die for your sins and mine, being that sinless sacrifice by whose blood that was shed on Calvary washes away all our sins if we just believe in him as the Son of God and our soon coming King of kings. And Father God loved us so much that as His only Begotten hung there on that cross, taking on all the sins of man upon himself, God being a Holy God had to turn away in that time when Jesus needed him most. Remember these words spoken by Jesus, My God My God why hast thou forsaken me? Jesus died there that day and was buried leaving his faithful followers heartbroken and feeling alone and hopeless. But God's love is so much greater than that. On the third day his love came shining through with the dawning when the stone was rolled away and he came forth out of the tomb never to die no more. Death's sleep could not hold him and because he arose we too have that great assuranc if we too will arise from death's sleep to reign with him on high throughout all eternity. A love so great none can compare.
Rejoice! Rejoice! And again I say rejoice for Jesus is alive forevermore!
Heavenly Father we thank you for your great love, mercy and grace. We thank you for your Son Jesus Christ and the great sacrifice that was made that we might be saved from our sins and live eternally with you.We love you and are so thanful that you loved us so. Teach us Lord and help us to love one another as you have loved us. Amen
