Apologetics
How many times do I watch programs that "so called" Christians have written and produced and come away, shaking my head, and certainly worse off than I was before I watched that movie or that play. Cause if I followed their example I would dishonor and deny God. Now I'm wondering, thinking man-woman what was you thinking when you wrote and produced that, what was your objective.
I don't understand why a woman who calls herself a Christian has no problem parading herself around scantily and so inappropriately attired....why?
And a man who calls himself a Christian taking off his shirt, okay you have a chest, but I am trying to see my Lord's beautiful face in peace on that day so could you please glorify God and edify me and keep your clothes on.
Christians are not supposed to lust, doing it in our hearts--that's the same as if I did it literally, I don't want to do it at all, cause it ain't worth going to hell for....please oh "brother/sister" help your sister/brother not to stumble....you do love your brother and your sister...right?
And cussing...quoting scriptures in one breath, and cussing in the next...what kinda---? Bitter and sweet water can't come from the same fountain.
And then the flirting, telling the man what you wanna do--and vice versa. He is your "brother" she is your "sister".
Why is it that rather than influencing the world, some so called Christians act just like the world, the world influencing them; when a true Christian is in the world but not of the world.
And here's something I hadn't heard in years and years......and years, the expression of being so heavenly minded to the point of being no earthly good. I don't know if I should do a backflip, pull my hair out from the roots or just sit here looking stupefied as I am---what?
As a sinful human being, One is about as likely to be so heavenly minded to the point of being no early good as they are of never EVER eating again because they are obese...in other words human nature is going to always be what it is, as long as we occupy these earthen vessels.
-----Therefore, brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live after the flesh.
For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live.
For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.----- Romans 8:12-14
Being too close to the Lord not even ever a possibility One can never love the Lord too much! Being carnal, religious, fake, phony, hypocritical...always a danger!
So heavenly minded...no earthy good. Indeed!
