Salvation Step By Step
Accept a man is born again he cannot see God. He cannot be taken backwards, look back, stay behind or abandon his new found life. We can never quit or give up the love we have come to know in Christ. We have to continue to abandon the things that disavow or disown our Savior Jesus Christ. Jesus will never be renounced. To accept Jesus Christ as Lord means; we become born again. We receive and embrace His teachings, doctrines, and ministry as true. We welcome not only Jesus in our hearts but take the Spirit of God for ours too! We acknowledge that the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost is triune but one. We believe the wholeness of the Word of God. We understand and appreciate pleasing God.
Become all that God is. Maintain your salvation and trust that what you believe can make you brand new. What we become in Christ is determined by how well we have accepted who He is and allowed Him to come into our lives. We want to become accustomed to reading and hearing the Word on a constant basis. We must become settled and accessible to God where we are available when He calls upon us. We want to be becoming to God as He is to us; attractive, handsome, comely and fair. He must be our beloved where he is cherished, loved, adored, worshipped, idolized, treasured, and favored. For all that believe shall live godly; trusting, accepting, and thinking about God and our conversion everyday where we observed and regard our salvation as life itself.
Confess to God daily your faults, God knows our needs and wants already; he don’t want to hear what you want all day. God gets belligerent with us because we are a selfish people; it’s always about us and not Him. Our behavior and conduct is not always like God so we need to acknowledge, admit and own up to our shortcomings. Telling others about them don’t help us but when we talk to God and confess the process of deliverance began. It brings closure to the sin that so easily beset us time and time again. Confession is good for the soul. It is acknowledging what I have done and what I don’t want to do anymore. God will at this point help me. We then develop confidence and assurance in Christ where we can come boldly before the throne of grace. There is a curse with sin as with the Woman in the garden and the snake. She would be painful in childbirth to represent the pain she caused her Creator. The snake was no longer to walk upright but crawl on his belly for his part of the fall of Adam. We are to deny sin through confession.
Don’t demean one another. Who is to say what God has not told someone to go? Or do? God can use a donkey why can’t he use man to go into the dirty of dirties to bring cleanness to a people. How can we demean one another by lowering each other in status when God is the Head of us all? We keep up too much fuss about each other when we are to lift Jesus and each other and He will draw men unto Him. We are guilty of trying to lower others self-esteem verbally while we question their quality in Christ and their character. Everybody could not do or go through all Jesus, Elijah, Samuel, Hosea, and some of the other Prophets went through and the battles they had to fight. It takes the anointing and the fire of the Holy Ghost to take us through that we recognize certain spirits operating in the world that need to be cast out of the land and cast down in man. We have a nourishing desire to tear down one another that we ourselves continue our own prideful demeanor. It’s more about us than God.
Extra effort need to be made by the fivefold ministry gifts not to cause deterioration to or lowering in quality or character the nature of Christ, His life, death, and resurrection. Christ came as a man in the earth, called himself Jesus, built the Church of Christ, trained his replacement, died on the Cross at Calvary alone, was buried as a man in the grave, and came up out of the ground and was resurrected the Holy Spirit come to man again. The devil since has tried to pervert the Gospel of Jesus Christ; implying a twisting or distorting from what is natural or normal to take away from the original goal of God. Satan is corrupt and implies that Jesus too has loss soundness and is not as pure as He proclaims and lacks integrity. He tries his best to debase Jesus through the means of saying he had some sensual indulgence involving sin. Satan has and does imply a destruction of purity, validity or effectiveness to the whole work of Jesus by always allowing entrance of a fault or defect. We need to be extra careful to make every effort not to be used with this tactic of Satan to use us to continue his work.
We must be faithful. If we are not faithful to God we are of our father the Devil. Father God is capitalized because He is Lord. Our Father God is faithful to us in that He takes care of his responsibilities toward us. He provides for us and His affection towards us is remarkable. He is the founder, producer, and author of our faith for which we testify of. He is our authoritative witness to Jesus’ teaching and lifestyle practiced. We need to stand for what we believe in by being faithful to Him. If we don’t stand for something we will fall of anything. Faithfulness is our belief and trust in God that makes us steadfast in affection, allegiance, loyalty and resolution. We must be in full communion and in good standing. Football fans are faithful to their team even when they lose; that’s faithfulness. We have to endure all the way to the end and our God does not and will not lose. Satan is already defeated.
Growing up in Christ is a process that never stops as long as we live. We grow toward or arrive at full stature or physical or mental maturity in Christ. We learn something new every day if we are alive and in a good mind. God is the only grown-up in the realm of salvation. All else including man will grow until the end of their lives. To grow means we mature along the way as we learn of Him. We are developing into Christ like creatures as we pattern ourselves after Jesus. He is our perfect example of holiness. As we grow we build relationship. As we grow we take what we learn of Christ and apply it to our lives that we increase in relationship with the Father. As we grow we increase in God’s wisdom and expand His territory in the earth. God’s wisdom expands as we influence others through our holy living and commitment to God. We never become grown Christians for we are ever learning and never coming to the fullness of God. If we do we are dead in this life. We are cultivated and produced in a specified way to increase in God and expand His Kingdom. We have purpose and that purpose is to once again become that first man and woman created in the Creation.
Hope is given us through Christ Jesus that we can see God once more and again. We cherish the desire of seeing God with anticipation and trust. We have an expectancy that we will spend eternity in heaven with God because Jesus came and gave his life that we can have hope in God again. We have hope of attaining everlasting life. Hope thou in God the more for our trust level has been raised to a one hundred percent confidence. We expect the promises of God to be fulfilled in our lives during our life time. We can rely on God to do as He says. We have that blessed hope of having success in life as we worship, praise, and honor God with our obedience. With God our desires are met, our needs kept, and our wants delivered. His Word we hide in our hearts as a hope chest. God allows us that hope of attaining the awaited bridegroom.
Integrity is a Christian virtue that covers morality, honesty, uprightness, and honor. We as the people of God must maintain a firm adherence to God’s Holy Word. We must have soundness in our values and remain unimpaired in conditions and situations that present themselves to us. When we have a vision before us we must hold to the fact that God will make provision for it and we need not sacrifice our values to make something happen that God already has in his
Just keeping our integrity and completeness takes honesty. It takes chastity, fairness and straight forwardness of conduct. We are to hold the adherence of the facts in the Word of God close in our hearts.
Keep the Commandments means we take notice of by appropriate conduct. We fulfill the law and is faithful to them. We act fittingly to conform to the habit or conduct where we stay in accord with the Word of God. Some habits are bad but to habitually keep God’s Commandments are good. Adherence preserves our lives and maintains our bodies as the temples of the Holy Ghost. We can be found faithful in taking care of our temples to watch over them and defend them from harm. To keep the Commandments of god we maintain a good, fitting, and orderly condition that will remain until Jesus comes that we don’t become spoiled. We call this conduct management, following a course, direction, or persistent practice. When we keep the Commandments we keep ourselves distant from sin.
Listening is important! If we are to know anything about God we must first hear the Word. If we will be saved at all it is by the Word of God. Listening means we have given an ear, tuned in and paying attention thoughtfully. We must give consideration and be alert where we will catch everything that is spoken. How can we obey if we don’t hear what it is we are to obey? Listening means that some sound has been made. It means we hear, heed, and attend to do what we have heard. To be saved we must have first heard the Word. The believer must incline their ear to hear God; for in God is His wisdom that we are to apply to our hearts and understand. We can’t understand the fear of the Lord unless we hear and find the knowledge of God. Listening causes us to never lose God’s favor and we will have a good understanding in the sight of God. To hear the Word and allow it to come into us will make us clever, bright, smart, keen, perceptive, discerning, knowledgeable, and comprehending. Listening is important.
Make the choice to love God today. Wage a war against the Devil. Prepare to force out everything not like Him from your life. Make means to choose God and arrive at a decision. With Christ we choose to live as on that belongs to that chosen nation, we are particular about what we choose to do because we are a peculiar people. We are unusual, strange, and of a unique character. When we choose God we choose to be different. We are observant of the things around us. Our perception and understanding goes far beyond the norm. Making the choice to love God and obey we pick and prefer God over the Devil and sin. We make our election sure and decide that we want God’s favor. Then we have to be persistent in our pick that it becomes our favorite and foremost decision each and every day.
Neglect sin. Neglect means we spurn sin, evade it and disregard it but we must know something about sin. Sin has to be fought against. Sin although need to be neglected has to be regarded, we must be at attention for sin sneaks upon us in different ways. We must know how it comes to us and what it is. Sin is willful disobedience to God; transgression of His law, violation of the divine commands, moral depravity, iniquity, wickedness, unrighteousness, and ungodliness. Sin includes not only actions, but neglect of known duties, all evil thoughts, words, acts, and all that is contrary to the law of God. Neglect means we say no to things we know is wrong. Even the very appearance of sin should have no consideration in our eyesight. We have to pay attention to friendly gazes that we be not carried away in sin. Don’t regard iniquity in your heart.
Open your heart and move out of that closed position of sin. Make the entranceway clear for God to come in and sup with you. We must make our hearts accessible for God to come in. We must prepare our hearts to be more discerning. God must be revelatory in our hearts and we must be ready to respond to His Word when He speaks. We must keep our minds that we can make the adjustment in our heart to please God. Our heart must be open and available to God for his use at any time. We must be willing to hear and consider or to accept and deal with what God has called us to. An open heart frees us from having reservations and pretense; for we can be real and generous in every area of life. Our hearts must be opened that God can flow.
Now we can pick up the pieces of life and move on since we have neglected sin and opened our heart to receive of the Lord. We have chosen and selected the good path of faith. We separate ourselves from the old things we did and walk in the newness of Spirit and passion of God. We have elected to have the best part to be in control. After picking up the pieces of our life we must reach back and pull someone else up with us. Pick up the pieces of life that we have not destroyed and get rooted and grounded in the truth. Now we are particular about what we allow to come into our lives. We select with care and deliberation for which we will be singled out for criticism, teasing, or bullying for we are picked out to be picked on. We can’t be stopped even amidst controversy. All of a sudden all of the fragments come together, the pieces that seem lost and broken begin to fit in, and we can go on with our lives in Christ.
Quiet your spirit once the quickening power has come. The Holy Spirit is quick and powerful. It arouses us immediately and intensely brings us alive in understanding, thinking and learning where we become mentally agile in wit. We won’t be so quick to be rash in our decisions. We will be more tranquil; at peace. There is little or no motion or activity. There is calm in our life, we relax in peace. We study in peace, we are easy going, and don’t allow ourselves to be interfered with. It’s okay to be still and secluded. In quietness possess we our souls. We learn to stay away from unnecessary questions or dispute. We can be more mentally alert and be ready to answer any man that may ask questions. In quietness we can become intelligent.
Rest in Christ is the place we as Christians want to reach. We want to be minimally functioning in the world. We want to live where we will live again with Christ. We want to lay down sin and accomplish distractions end. When we rest in Christ there is no longer division between God and us. When we rest in Christ there is joy and we love like God loves. Anxiety over things is long gone. The issues we once had are laid to rest never to rise again and take a hold on us again. When the Christian rest in Christ we don’t mind studying His Word. We don’t mind serving Him in and out of the confines of the Church building. We don’t mind being in services and when there the hours don’t bother us. We don’t take recess or intermission from Him where we sin today and be saved tomorrow or vice versa. One thing we know is this that God is in our slumber. What greater rest than one should rest in Christ?
Sacrifices were made to God from the beginning. Adam was to sacrifice his first fruit of love to God through obedience to what God told Him not to do. Cain made a sacrifice that was unacceptable to God because of the impure blood he offered of an animal that was never to be killed for that purpose. I can imagine that Cain looked upon the animal and just could not kill it so he reached back and used another in disobedience to God. I can also imagine that he would later kill again something or someone he was not supposed to therefore committing murder. The blood still cries out from the ground today of the unacceptable sacrifice Cain made. Maybe it was a Lamb, a beautiful sight to look upon, just as the fruit of the tree that his mother Eve had feasted her eyes on that had been forbidden. We don’t really know because the Bible doesn’t say but in our sanctified mind where the Spirit rules; we are brought revelation concerning the hidden parts.
Take it and make it in whatever state we find ourselves. If we put God first in every situation, circumstance, predicament, state, job, profession, trade, status, station, or rank we can walk through adversity. If we keep Him first nothing will sneak upon us, God will warn us of the enemy coming at every side. We are to obtain everlasting life if we endure to the end of this life with Christ. So we have to get all we can get and can what we get. The Word has to be procured in the confines of our mind, heart, soul, and spirit. We must seize every opportunity to go to God or go before Him in praise, worship, and fellowship. Grasp a hold of salvation and don’t ever look back to the world for your sustenance; trust God. To take it and make it we have to accept that sin has been captured already at the Cross of Calvary when Jesus gave up his life. We must realize that when He rose again as the Christ that we were adopted back into the Kingdom of God and God put his Spirit back in man once again to help us take it and make it. He gave us the baptism and fire that would indwell in us and burn up the junk we cast into the fire. Continue to choose Christ and pick the option to take it and make it.
Unfold truth about ourselves and be real about it. What takes prominence in our lives will rule our very being. The things that take priority in our lives are what we prefer. People have habits that take precedence in their lives. When we unfold the truth about what is the chief dominating belief in our lives we determine where our faith lies. We cannot distort what is real, genuine and authentic; if it’s in us to the point we rely on it rather than God it is an idol. This idol we become faithful to causes us to think that it is just and we become reliable and faithful to it. But let’s unfold the truth about the enemy in us. This idol must be revealed, shown up, unraveled, exposed and resolved. If we don’t then it will expand to depths we don’t want to go, nor intended to. The truth must evolve in every area of our lives and extend throughout all eternity. Our love must be unfeigned, genuine, real, natural, unaffected, truthful, candid and sincere. It’s time we unfold some truths about ourselves. It’s time to disrobe; peel off the junk in our lives.
Vent your frustrations don’t let them capsize and overturn your life. Take the opportunity to escape from those things that irritate, worry, trouble, disturb, aggravate or concern us to the point of disappointments, impediments, and failures that causes us defeat. God has given us a way of releasing the pressures we face every day. He took all ails and placed them on his Son that we don’t have to carry them; as Jesus have already carried the load of the Cross. We have been discharged from the guilt we once had as sinners. It is urgent that we press through to new heights without the weight of guilt, shame, and sin. It only keeps us an emotional roller coaster going down an expressway in the wrong direction. These frustrations represent themselves as if they were more important than the reality that they aren’t. We just don’t realize that they have small meaning in the life of the Saint. It’s time to vent those frustrations; be persuaded by what Christ says and what the Holy Ghost do. Be persuaded by them because they follow what God speaks.
Wait on the Lord! Don’t jump at the first whim. We are to be watchmen, a position hidden or concealed lying in wait for the command of God. We are to move when God says move, speak when God says to speak. We wait and watch to intercede on the behalf of others as we are led of the Spirit. In waiting on the Lord we have an attitude of expectancy. We must remain stationary as a man in the army awaiting a call to go to war. We cannot go ahead of God and when we so we make a mess of what God desired for us. We wait on the Lord that we withhold action now for a greater hope of a favorable opportunity for more effective actions later. As we wait, we abide in the Lord, delay our plans and stay in position. Progress outside the will of God won’t last. Our ways are not His ways; nor are our thoughts His. We create problems and difficulty when we go outside the confines of the walls of God. God has built a hedge of protection around us and it’s up to us to keep within the order of God to maintain that protection. We have to wait on the Lord.
X-ray your own self and stop looking at others for their faults. We all have been made with a defect somewhere because we all have been conceived in sin and shaped in iniquity in the earthen realm. The only perfection we have is in God; He is perfect. God took a look at his product and said it is all good. Can we x-ray ourselves and say it is all good? We are to product of God’s work and we are to have that same output as God; but do we look within to see if we are well able and capable to do that? We are supposed to be as creative as God is. God created originals, devised lifestyles, conceived thoughts of plenty, designed man spiritually and naturally, composed an abode for man, and invented things. What are we making of our lives and the lives of others? We need to keep ourselves under examination that we assemble ourselves under the light of righteousness. We want to have the same cause and effect God had in the earth. We want to be productive; rich, fruitful, prolific, and fertile that our calling be sure.
Yearn for the more of Christ. We need to have a longing, a desire, and a craving for God. How do we get there? We need Christ; it is He who God sent to take our place at Calvary to be that blood washed sacrifice for our sins once and for all. We need to want Him so bad that our bones hurt for the more of Him. All cravings aren’t bad. Just like we crave sweets we are urged to long for Christ in the same way. We should want so much the more of Him that we are willing to lose sleep for what we want. The desire to know the more of Him should be more than a drug addict that wants their next hit. Christ should be the driving force behind our yearning for God. To know Him is to love Him, to love Him is to obey Him; to obey Him is to keep his Commandments. To keep his Commandments is to live the Gospel. Christ is the Gospel lived.
Zenith, elevate your position in Christ. Accept Jesus as Lord, open the door and let Christ bring the Holy Ghost in and He will bring us to God. The zenith is the point of salvation where we reach all the way to heaven. It is at the top, the peak. When an athlete is at the top of his game he is an utmost winner. When we are in Christ and striving to be all that we can be we are at the top of Christianity and on our way to heaven. We are not seeking out wrongdoing, immoral acts, evil, false information appearing real, inaccurate flesh pleasing prophecies, and we don’t seek revenge where we oppress, abuse, harm, maltreat, or dishonor one another. In our zenith we are careful of how we respond to things. In our zenith we don’t cry over spilled milk, devise evil manipulations or forget to tell God thank you. We are lifelike; true to life. We are transfinite, going beyond or surpassing any finite magnitude. We are as eagles in transition ready to be transformed. In our zenith we change in composition or structure. We change the outward form or appearance; our character and conditions are converted, and we subject ourselves to the one and only true Lord and Savior Jesus Christ without reservation. Our whole nature and function is changed.
The ABC’s as given will give us vision, for which God will make provision, and kill the spirit of division and contention in the lives of the Saints everywhere. We can fly high as the eagle, see as far as the eagle, and soar in Christ as his disciple as the eagle acts as the disciple of God.
