Beautiful Butterflies
2 Corinthians 3: 17-18
Now the Lord is the Spirit; and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. We all, with unveiled faces, are reflecting the glory of the Lord and are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, this is from the Lord who is the Spirit.
Butterflies are free. That thought amazes me, they go through a transformation, a process to get to a point of freedom. I have found in my life God has showed me just how free I am. I’m still in the confines of his grace and direction, but inside of that there is complete freedom when I live in his presence.
And just like the butterfly God tells me I can choose the sweetest flower to land on.
We go through this journey of life always changing and growing into what God wants us to be. If we let him in. he changes us from the inside out. Then we bloom into a beautiful butterfly. Not one of us is alike, we have different hair color, eye color, talents and personalities, but we can all fly free in the Lord.
God whispers see how much I love you? I want you to soar.
What has the Lord put in your life to show you freedom? For me it’s the butterfly, maybe it’s the fresh flowers growing in the sun, or the hug of a child, a quiet afternoon all to yourself . What ever it is know he loves you and enjoys watching you blossom and grow and fly. He wants the best for you.
Be free
Spin and spin until your dizzy and cant stand up.
Take a walk breath in the fresh air.
Hold the hand of the person you love and cherish the time with them.
Read a book have a cup of tea.
Dream big and step out in faith.
What ever you do bring to yourself a new awareness that your free indeed. Not as the world sees free. With sin and sadness but free in the Lord to grow and prosper. And to dream and explore. He wouldn’t want it any other way.
Dear Father,
I pray today that who ever reads this comes to realize they are free in you , that just like the beautiful butterfly they can choose the wonderful places to soar and land on. Within your boundaries of love.
Amen.
