Devotionals
God has been telling the truth to us since the beginning, even though He acts and deals with us with great mercy and perfect grace, yet on regular occasions He has warned us of the great judgement for which even though we like it or not, we have to be ready, we have to be accountable and answerable.
"His winnowing fan is in His hand, and He will thoroughly clean out His threshing floor, and gather the wheat into His barn; but the chaff He will burn with unquenchable fire.” Luke 3:17 (NKJV)
John the Baptist, when describing the greatness and awesomeness of God also clearly and in perfect obedience to "The Holy Spirit" tells us about the judgement.
A time will come when God will use His fan for separation and then shall we fall in our right place depending upon who we are, if the grain then into the barn, if the chaff then into the unquenchable fire.
God has given us countless opportunities in our given life span to be the grain that would satisfy the Master, however how we made use of them to build us up, how we made use of all the good climatic conditions, the water and the manure to build ourselves up spiritually in order to be fit for the Master will come to light on that judgement day.
Often many of us seem to be busy building up our chaffs, investing our time & resources and this precious life in things that are worthless, physical and worldly, yet let this truth open our eyes that the chaff and all we build which is not spiritual is destined for the unquenchable fire.
Often when you lift a grain of wheat which is covered with chaff, yet when the Master opens it, he finds a healthy grain, that's who we are , strong and healthy spiritually even while covered and surrounded by all our other activities, yet there are some grain which may look healthy, yet when the Master opens it, He does not find grain within, only an empty covering which is fully chaff and thus of no use to Him.
We need to assess the health of our Spiritual person, for that's who we are and that's whot will live for eternity, if not in the ways of God, we are living in sin.
God is good in all He does, as now a good gracious God, He will one day be a good and just Judge, yet let's capitalise on His goodness today so that at the time of judgement we may be accepted with great pride and pleasure into the Master's barn for an eternal bliss and thus may not land in the unquenchable fire for eternity.
God Bless,
Abraham
