Bitterness Defiles
Anger comes to unsettle me;
I tell my spirit, “be not perturbed”.
The wicked one attempted sowing bitter seed.
I keep my peace and refuse to be disturbed.
Anger does not sin until bitterness sprouts;
The sunset puts paid to the day’s wrath.
Holy Spirit comforts, there are no doubts,
This evil seed will not grow in my fertile heart.
Peace beyond understanding bids me good morning;
I wake up with a clean mind and heart unclogged,
My hurt is delivered from strife and mourning.
Anxiety dies in avalanche of divine dialogue.
Oh! Cleanse this anger in sanctified praises!
Holy anger achieves divine purposes;
The Lord purged the sanctuary and cursed the tree,
Perhaps offenders will acknowledge their faults and be free.
Pure Conscience emboldens like a lion;
With love, I will make peace before my gift.
I reject bitterness lest my hurt last an eon;
By His grace this temple will not be defiled.
(Heb.12:15; Eph. 4:26, 31; 1 Co.13:5; Mat.5:22-24; Mk.11: 15-17; Ps.4:4).
