Encouragement

Are you down in the gutter today? If you are, I’d like to encourage you to leave today. “If you don’t leave now you’ll lose everything.” Recommending Jesus, the LAMB of God to you:
Over hills and mountains…
Through the valleys…
Through the rivers…
Through the stormy seas…
Jesus carried me.
There was always:
A willing vessel…
An available instrument…
An anointed one…
That’s how He carried me.
Around the obstacles I faced in life…
Out of the dungeons of my past…
Out of the miry clay…
Up from the ocean deep…
Jesus carried me.
“I was sinking deep in sin,
Far from the peaceful shore;
Sinking very deep in sin
sinking to rise no more…”
But Jesus stretched out His loving hands
And lifted me back to shore.
Now on dry land:
I’m resting in His loving care;
Learning more about Him each day,
Witnessing each shackle being stripped away…
Strength being renewed…
As He continues to carry me.
There was always a message:
Listening to His gentle voice…
As I read the bible…
As the preacher speaks from the pulpit…
As the choir or praise team ministers…
With words of wisdom, comfort…
With His rod and staff…
He carries me.
You may be a lamb sitting on the fence today: I bring good news…Jesus is the WAY, the TRUTH and the LIFE (see St. John 14:6). Seek Him today while He may be found. Don’t stay in the gutter of your life. Prodigal son, prodigal daughter, don’t be tempted to stay in the pig sty when all you have to do is return to your Father’s house where there are riches untold. Reclaim your royal status today. Jesus is waiting with open arms to embrace you. The robe of righteousness awaits you. The garment of praise has been in the cupboard far too long. All you have to do is rise with a repentant heart. Saying, “God be merciful to me a sinner.” Now return to the Potters house and allow Him to make you over again. You’ll be more beautiful than you were before. Then you will return to help those you left behind in the gutter.
You might be watching the others failing to rise out of the gutter and wondering where are those who are to come and help. That means you have a heart for hurting souls. You are one of those people who God allowed to enter the gutter, in order to see the need. He wants to use you to help those in the gutter, but first He has to clean you up. He needs to release you from the shackles that now hold you bound. You need to receive your healing first. So the longer you stay in the gutter is the longer those whom you are burdened with will stay bound. Read St. Luke 15 and see what awaits you. Your spiritual father or mother waits to receive you, there are vessels being prepared to help you back on track. Be freed today, in the name of Jesus!
Are you a believer who is comfortable in the confines of your church building? Have you been saying, “Send me Lord to preach in the city, evangelising for Thee…I will do what you say Lord…Just don’t send me to the slums of the city, not down in the gutters…the ghetto…I might get robbed, shot, others might despise me…?” God may have given you a vision of the gutter but fear has held you bound. I come to encourage you today. Moses too was afraid…I can’t speak…they won’t believe me. He had many excuses but God didn’t take the task from him, even though He grew angry with all the excuses. Moses still had to carry out that task, but God provided help. So tell God how you feel and ask Him to provide the help you need…there is an Aaron out there who will help you to fulfil your mission. Don’t give up and don’t feel that you have failed Him, just cast your cares on Him and ask Him to lead and direct you. Souls are waiting to be born into the Kingdom, and you have a part to play.
Pastors and leaders in the church: There is a lamb now sitting on the fence. If that lamb walks through your church doors today… Are you an available vessel today? Are you that instrument for God to use today? God wants to use you to be a helping hand for that stray lamb. He wants to bring healing through your hands so His lamb can be restored. Are you feeding on His word today, studying to show yourself approved unto God, a workman that need not be ashamed, and rightly dividing the word of truth? (see 2nd Timothy 2:15) If you are not, then I urge you to prepare yourself, so that you will speak as an oracle for Christ. In order for transformation to take place, that lamb needs to hear Jesus speaking through you.
There is another lamb sitting on the fence wondering if God really exists and if He really will come and save him/her. As the body of Christ we each come in contact with at least one of these stray lambs each day. Everywhere we go there is one or more missing from the flock. These missing lambs need to be fed. They need to see Jesus shining through us. These lambs are waiting for us to come and help them find their way back to the fold. Often they stay on the fence/border line because they are frightened to move, in case they plunge to their death. The wolves are out to get these lambs. In their cold, frail and confused state of mind they will easily go with the false-prophets who will wrap them in blankets of deception and feed them with lies. They will be trapped in the enemy’s camp and some will die there.
These are the last days…it is very dangerous out there! So I am encouraging you today to be an instrument God can use. If you are in the Potter’s house, please stay and allow the process to be complete so you can be a vessel of honour. If you are out on the battlefield, stay in His will. Keep on the whole armour of God so the darts won’t harm you (Ephesians 6:11-18) but if you get wounded don’t die a spiritual death; it’s necessary to receive healing for your wounds. If you are constantly being hurt then the time has come for you to heal. Though you hurt don’t retreat, return to base for medical treatment and get back on the field. While in the medical room rest in Him while He does surgery—time is allowed you for restoration. Your strength comes from Him, allow him to strengthen you so that you go back on the battlefield stronger than you were before; fully armed and ready for the battle.
To the prodigal child: God wants to take you out of the gutter, so don’t resist or it might be too late.
To the members in the church: Don’t be comfortable just being saved, be an available vessel. Sometimes it’s the little things we do that make the difference. Allow God to work through you today and everyday that you are blessed with life.
