Prayers
I see your sad eyes
You have been hurt,
and you are afraid
Oh, my child,
I am here
for you
I have watched you love others
I have seen how
you have been hurt
Come my beloved one
Come into My
loving arms
Let me hold you
and whisper that
You are My beloved child
I created you with love
I can handle your pain
Together we will make it
And once again, you will
laugh and know that
all will be well
Reflection
When we care for others, we sometimes wonder if anyone understands or appreciates the love we give away. We wonder if our efforts are worth it. This is especially true when we are experiencing emotional pain, ourselves. In this prayer, Jesus reminds us that He knows how much we care for others, and He knows it can be emotionally draining. He’s been there! He inviting us into His arms, so that He can care for us. We can share our emotions with Him. He tells us He will go through this pain with us. Not only that, He calls us His beloved child!
Today, take a word or phrase of this prayer that speaks to you, and meditate on it. What does it mean to your relationship with Jesus? How would you describe Jesus? How would you describe your relationship with Him?
