Gospel
The Snare is Broken!
And they shall hearken to thy voice: and thou shalt come, thou and the elders of
Israel, unto the king of Egypt, and ye shall say unto him, The LORD God of the
Hebrews hath met with us: and now let us go, we beseech thee, three days'
journey into the wilderness, that we may sacrifice to the LORD our God.
And I am sure that the king of Egypt will not let you go, no, not by a mighty hand.
And I will stretch out my hand, and smite Egypt with all my wonders which I will
do in the midst thereof: and after that he will let you go. And I will give this
people favour in the sight of the Egyptians: and it shall come to pass, that, when
ye go, ye shall not go empty: Exodus 318-21;
Freedom is rarely secured by negotiations. For anyone to be free in life, he or she must be prepared to demand freedom and force himself or herself out of the grips of the oppressors. This was the case of the children of Israel in the land of Egypt. The Israelites have served the Egyptians for four hundred and thirty [430] long years, and Pharaoh was not ready to let go. Without the powerful hands of the Almighty God, the children of Israel would have remained in perpetual bondage and servitude in the land of Egypt.
Pharaoh was not willing to release the children of Israel for many reasons. Firstly, the Egyptians were enjoying the free services provided by them; the Israelites were made to do rigorous labour but the Egyptians were only busy reaping the fruits of their labour. The Almighty God knew that Pharaoh would not readily release the children of Israel, so He had decided in advance that He was going to visit him with terrible plagues which would eventually force him to release the people to worship God in the wilderness. Pharaoh was indeed stubborn and brazen hearted, but the mighty hands of God destroyed him and the Egyptian to pave way for deliverance of His covenant people.
A lot of people are physically free but are held in unseen bondage and invisible prisons. Truth is, freedom does not come easily; the grip of the oppressor has to be broken down completely by a higher power to release the captives. Just like God displayed His supremacy over Pharaoh and Egyptian Army in order to free the Israelites from bondage, Jesus Christ also demonstrated preeminence over the devil and powers of darkness who had hitherto held mankind under bondage of sin and death. No one could have done this but the begotten Son of God. He won the battle completely and secured victory for us. Without Jesus, there is no victory.
Indeed the snare is broken! Jesus Christ did not negotiate with the devil for deliverance of mankind. We must realize that Satan does not understand the language of peace and negotiations; deliverance must be secured by violence. The scripture says that the kingdom of God suffereth violence, and the violent take it by force. Yes, the violent take it by force. Jesus Christ has concluded your freedom and deliverance, but if possible, the devil still desires to keep you under bondage of sin, sickness, curses etc. The Lord had already secured your deliverance but you are required to demonstrate the victory by walking out on the devil.
The major reason it is possible for the devil to keep many under chain and bondage is because they are not ready to part way with sin. Of course there is no true freedom for him who is still a slave of sin. The devil has a legal ground against those who live in sin. The only way to erode this legal ground completely is to quit sin and unrighteousness. It is surprising that many people seek deliverance from places to places but are not ready to quit sinful life, this is aberration. The first step in your deliverance is to repent of all sins and part way with unrighteousness. This is a decision you must make to be free indeed. Church membership is good but meaningless if you are still living under the bondage of sin.
Just like the children of Israel walked out Pharaoh’s bondage under the mighty hands of God, you too can walk out of every bondage of sin, curses and shame today by the divine power and authority of Jesus Christ. Remember the enemies do not understand the language of peace or negotiation, stand up today and rid your self from the snares of the enemies. Rise up and get out of the confinements, the snare is broken!
