Sound the alarm. Come together all Yeshua’s disciple.
The ekklesia’s fervor has grown lukewarm.
We need a revival.
All of creations awaits our manifestation, cryin out
“where is the GOD of the Bible?”
We use to be on fire like Jeremiah,
But we let compromise quench our flame.
Our brothers and sisters are by the wayside fallen and we’re to blame.
We mindlessly consume MTV, BET anything that entertains. We
Crave diversion to keep us off our knees callin on Jesus’ name.
‘Cause’ nobody wants to endure sound doctrine and being corrected.
We give you a hollow Halleluiah , but it’s Your word we’ve rejected.
Grievin’ Holy Spirit, treatin’ Him like He’s septic.
The ekklesia is more than bricks, mortar and buildin’.
We are supposed to be Ambassadors for Christ; we’re supposed to be Your children.
YouTube, Face book, Reality TV. Instant amusement at the stroke of a key.
The gravity of depravity has affected our ability to worship You earnestly.
The Lion of Mount Zion inside us is fading,
cause we’re so busy debating. Over doctrine and bylaws
that no longer want to commune with the Tri-une One.
We act like what You want is irrelevant, some say there’s no
evidence that we are even married to the Son.
We once esteemed You highly as the Bridegroom and Lamb.
Now all we do is talk about ourselves like demi-gods,
forsaking the great I AM
We have an itching ear no longer submissive to hear,
what the Spirit is saying to the Church.
We gotta self help Ipod to tell us our worth.
We are real trendy now, wouldn’t you agree?
It’s only an hour for church because we’re “church friendly”
Why go to church meet, when I can get a sermon on Itunes,
If I don’t like what the preacher is sayin or wearnin,
I can just hit delete and invoke another spirit into the room.
Church concerts gotta us “Yes Yallin”
Not payin our tithes, can’t pay the rent, not livin it out
But we're Bishop Ballin
We let sin creep in and ravage our soul like a bad date
who won’t take no for answer. Your blood is the
Supernatural Chemo that can cure our cancer.
Desensitized, we are ambivalent to the rise of violence
in our society. We tolerate and exonerate
the calamity of humanity. Vainly thanking You by
sayin “I’m glad it ain’t me.”
Should we be surprised how we allowed visual vulgarity rape our eyes.
We have become complacent and have compromised.
We question GOD’s relevance while pondering Satan’s lies.
The Bible says “taste not”, touch not”. “Handle no evil thing”.
All we care about is livin it up, given it up,
Hookin up while breakin up, sportin the latest bling.
No longer discerning what is right or wrong
So called Gospel artiste get offended when questioned why they let a
secular artiste duet on their song.
The zeal of Your house should have consumed us.
Instead we resurrect the dead and let our
old man gets filled with lust.
Lust for all the vanity we see.
When admonished by brethren to return to the Faith,
we treat them with enmity.
We embrace them with aggression because
Of their confession, reminding our hearts of what we use to be.
Forget the wolves, it’s the foxes that are nibbling on the vine.
We treat sin like we DJ. We spin it, remix it,
play it back in our minds. Consider it some more, then press rewind.
New age gotta us turning a new page.
Lookin for scripture in our Bible’s that ain’t even there.
We’re supposed to be set apart in our hearts,
but LORD do we even care.
How can we effectively minister,
when we intermingle the truth with something sinister.
Tell me how can we rep the Body of Christ,
when our salt is flavorless and we extinguished the light.
Father forgive our iniquity.
Clean us up and draw us back to Thee.
cover our shame and give us back our integrity.
We played the part of Gomer, now Jesus be our Hosea.
Redeem us with Your love.
Your bride is in desperate need of a Savior.
The revelation is just like Revelation, we’ve acted like Ephesus, Pergamos,
Sardis and Laodicea . But LORD our desire is to comeback
home and be a faithful ekklesia.
Those of us who heard Your word, take heed
so that we won’t miss our final destination.
working out daily our soul’s salvation,
with longing anticipation, to see He who sits on the throne .
We will watch and be vigil like the five wise virgin,
until the day you bring us home
