Christian Living
It seems like everywhere I turn, I’m always meeting someone who desires to be loved. I remember when I needed someone to talk to and how I longed for someone to be my true friend; an individual who would accept me for who I really am. I tried everything: I moved quite often, I got new jobs, I isolated myself from the wrong crowds, but I could not find anyone to fill this void (in my heart to truly love me). After searching high and low and with coming to the point of giving up, I finally met JESUS CHRIST in many tears and a broken heart. HE not only filled my emptiness, but HE also shown me how to share HIS LOVE with others and I am eternally grateful for that.
Now, I am not implying that I don’t need anyone (that’s religious), for man sharpens man (Proverbs 27:17), but what I am conveying is that without any human relationships, I cannot express The LOVE of CHRIST, nor can I recognize where I may need to develop further (in CHRIST). How can I (or you) share HIS LOVE without first receiving HIS LOVE for myself (yourself)? When apart from HIM, we can do nothing (John 15:5). Better yet, how can I determine whether I am walking (living) in (by) GODS’ WORD, if I do not know The WORD for myself? Especially since, HIS WORD is The LIGHT that directs my path (Psalm 119:105) and keeps me on the straight and narrow road. In short, I had to study (know The WORD) and then put The WORD into practice (Luke 11:28) by applying what The WORD said to do (James 1:22-25). Notice, it was only when HIS WORD had taken precedence (priority) within my heart was I then prepared to receive HIS INSTRUCTIONS (acceptable to obtain GODS’ Promises). HE made it very clear that it was vital for me to change in these areas (in order for my situation to change).
Transformation is the focus of change whereas Converting is the beginning of all new changes. For years, I thought that people did not prefer to be saved, but the real problem is that the majority do not want to be changed (of their ways, John 3:19-21). They rather settle for less (suffer for nothing) and that is precisely why many avoid Salvation (Matthew 7:13-14) and the point of living at all. We were created for GODS’ GLORY (Isaiah 43:7), we are suppose to have an intimate relationship with GOD through the worship of surrendering our entire selves (our personality: who we are and who we are not) in reverence to HIM (Acts 24:14-16). Without change, people die of ignorance (Hosea 4:6) and without conversion many are banished to hell (2 Thessalonians 1:8-9). The choice of converting (Romans 10:9-10) is easy, while transforming (John 3:1-5 and Galatians 5:25) is not, however it is possible; but only through JESUS CHRIST. Only the insane (foolish) would continue doing the same things (with an unchanging viewpoint) and expect to produce different results. This is why I had to change (by adapting to GODS’ Original Plan for my existence) and whenever you decide to renew your mind to GODS’ WORD, then you will also have to transform as well. The Ten Commandments declares that every human being ought to first have a relationship with GOD. Then one should thoroughly establish an honorable relationship with others (such as family, friends and business associates). We are also to live our lives with decency (integrity) and respect (Titus 2:12) at all times, even to the most stubborn (the best way we can). The Bible will always challenge us to come up higher (mature), for we are not to do as the world does (1 John 2:15).
When I was unsaved (unreconciled with GOD), I had a worldly prospective about everything, mainly life itself. When I became a Christian, I had a carnal (immature) mentality because I lacked comprehension of The WORD. However, as I examined The WORD, my attitude developed into the results you are all witnesses of today. The point is, until I had matured, I could not receive what GOD had for me simply because I was unprepared to receive (let alone, maintain) the blessing. For instance, GOD can answer all of our prayers, but if we are not prepared for the blessings, HE will rather wait until we are. I’ve had many difficult seasons to go through (to learn and grow) and it is only by The GRACE of GOD that I have not given up. At first, I found these lessons tedious, frustrating and discouraging; but over time I have become accustomed to “GODS’ Training Academy” and have learnt that true obedience is motivated out of love. It’s imparted with love; it’s given and received by love and it is obeyed in love. The very point of (any of us) obeying The SOVERIEGN LORD is (for us) to express (our) love for HIM. Therefore, whenever you start slacking, being withdrawn, procrastinating and so forth, it’s time to check your motives (1 Timothy1:5) because somewhere you have fallen from GRACE (Galatians 5:4) and you will have to realign yourself with The WORD (within the area of inaccuracy) in order to overcome the obstacles.
Prayer:
HEAVENLY FATHER, GOD of ALL TRUTH, in The NAME of JESUS CHRIST, I ask YOU to forgive me of all my sins (admit aloud) and for YOU to have MERCY on me for I do not know (Luke 23:34). In YOUR LOVINGKINDNESS, increase my desire to love YOU, so I may not transgress against YOU. Out of The Abundance of YOUR GRACE, shine YOUR LIGHT into my darkness (2 Corinthians 4:6), so I may see (that) YOU (are with me) and follow YOUR INSTRUCTIONS (Matthew 221:6) from this day and until eternity. Thank YOU. Amen.
