Prophecy
So many professing believers in Christ want to have it both ways. They’ve got one fist full of the world and the other fist full of Christian religion. These hypocrites have treated My free salvation like a swine flu inoculation, where they get jabbed once with it and from then on they need never think of it ever again. Professing Christian hypocrites only want to be inoculated against going to hell. They want to be saved from the everlasting fires of perdition but couldn’t care less about being saved from sin. In fact they have no awareness of the awfulness of sin, how destructive it is to people’s lives, or how loathsome it is in My eyes.
I have said in My Word that every tree which bears not good fruit is a bad tree and fit only for cutting down and being cast into the fire. Many legalistic sects insist that this passage refers to soul winning and “giving birth” to more Christians as being the fruit of a Christian’s life. That’s not primarily what it’s talking about. If you develop the spiritual fruits of the Christ nature within, such as love, joy, peace, longsuffering, goodness, meekness, self-control, faithfulness and gentleness, that’s a sure sign Christ really DOES live in your heart by faith and you are committed to allowing His nature to shine forth in and through you. As for soul winning, that will in great measure come forth as a byproduct of developing the Fruits of the Spirit in your own life and drawing others through the sweetness of those fruits.
I have seen so many “Christians” continue to be the same snappy, gossipy, malicious, scheming, unkind, selfish individuals they were before they “made a profession of Christ”. Far from developing good fruits in their own lives, they despise others who do manifest the Christ temperament in their souls. They consider consecrated, gentle believers to be weak wimps. They continue to act snobbish, petty and mean as they interact socially in rich churches, although I have made it clear in James Chapter 2 that I do NOT recognize or authorize class divisions in the Body of Christ. Some churchgoers cringe in disgust at the mere thought of truly loving those whose personality or background isn’t exactly the same as their own.
Others hop from one bed of sin to another, while keeping up a religious front on Sundays. Even those who don’t outwardly commit adultery often fantasize about it. Some preachers who holler at their congregations about personal sin and its evils harbor guilty secrets. Lot’s wife continues to look back at the enticements of Sodom.
How long will ye hesitate between two opinions, O My people? There can be no fence-straddling in My Holy Kingdom. Ye cannot serve both God and mammon, and in like manner ye cannot serve both Jesus and the devil.
