After twelve months of Writing Challenge themes, topics and entries, we had our forty contenders for the 2015 Best of the Best awards. The annual Best of the Best awards (announced July 1 each year) go to the three highest rated Editors' Choice winners for the previous twelve months.
As this is based on the highest rated entry and not on the specific author, it is more than possible for one person's entries to place 1st, 2nd and 3rd in the Best of the Best awards. This year, that came very close to happening. Congratulations to our two Best of the Best authors and their three prize winning entries:
1ST PLACE ($300) B’rikh hu by Ann Grover

2ND PLACE ($100) Assegais and Shields by Corinne Smelker

3RD PLACE ($75) In the Secret Place by Ann Grover

If Cori had not submitted that particular entry, Ann would have scooped the pools (as the fourth highest rated entry also belonged to Ann).
I think anyone who has seen Ann's consistent quality of writing and discipline in entering over the past twelve months would agree she is a most worthy Best of the Best winner.
The countdown to next year's Best of the Best awards begins tomorrow. You have to be in the Challenge to be in the running.
