It’s been a while since I’ve been here to congratulate the winners. I miss that. Hopefully I will be able to start doing that again from week to week.

So here it goes…

First of all, every entry that I did read was top notch. I was surprised how a topic like India could have so many unique and creative entries come from it.

Congratulations to our top ten winners. A couple names are new to me, such as Carol, Mona, and Jeannie, but you all did spectacular jobs on your pieces and deserve the top honors you received. I remember reading Mona’s piece and thinking “Wow! This is in intermediate?”

I see a lot of familiar faces up there as well. Jan, Lisa, and Michele don’t surprise me. You guys always have superb entries. Jan’s entry was very unique with the whole shaving of the head thing. Great job guys!

Clyde’s story was a great story and showed me why Mother Theresa was special to so many in India and around the world. Congratulations also to Beth, Lori, Jeannie, and Melanie.

I also see that Josiah and Norma made the list in their level. Good job! And everyone else that made the top 5 in your level, enjoy your victory today!

I’m looking forward to reading this week’s Europe entries and also seeing who else made the India top 40 tonight.

Thanks, judges, and thanks to all who left comments and encouragement. Now we've just got to give poor Basma a proper name (HUGE thanks to Seema!).

Congrats to All the Winners!

Well, Carol Slider, woman who was a tad worried about going up to masters--I hope your fears have vanished! A HUGE congratulations on winning with that exquisite piece.

I wish I had Joshua's gift for remembering all the winners' names while I'm typing in this field. Now, let's see . . .

Sharon and Gregory--looks like the apple didn't 't fall far from the tree. Congrats Josiah!

And Michelle your piece was gorgeous and poignant. Mona--outstanding poem.

Jan-- In any given week there are only nine places up for grabs because you are a permanent occupier of one of them. Now don't let me jinx you! Your story felt quite "literary".

Clyde--I missed your story earlier in the week, but I look forward to reading it. I also missed Beth's--but congrats to you both.

Seema thanks for all that help--I enjoyed reading your comments on the entries.

And big kudos to Jeanne for that win from beginners. Looking forward to seeing more.

I've reached the limits of my brain and have to go and peek to find who I'm missing. brb.

_________

Okay--how on earth could I miss Melanie's name/entry--it was soooo eerie--in an outstanding way, of course--loved it.

And last but not least, Lori--I enjoyed the ride you took me on with your engaging story.

Next week when I simply say, "Congrats to all the Winners," you'll know these are the kinds of things I'm thinking.

Blessings on your day. :D

Oops, she said sheepishly. I forgot about all the winners in the individual categories.

That'll teach me to try to keep up with Josh.

Congratulations to all the Winners in Your Individual Categories.

Thank you so much for receiving my simple story and judging it worthy. I was compelled to write it as I did.
I don't know about you, but, India was a very heavy topic.  Many tears I shed as I read through the entries of hopeless poverty and false gods.

Congrats to all!

Thank you for your feedback.
